I’m leaning towards the idea that the dying dad just wanted to have no issues with his family just before he passed and that’s why he accepted the troon. Still feel bad for Kangzley that no one in his family thought that him living a little longer (assuming his condition was terminal) was worth more than a cock chop for Lucas. That is, of course, if the entire story isn’t made up due to Lucas’s family not hurting for money at all.

I have to agree here- after being educated I had to wonder where he indeed went, realizing I hadn’t seen anything he had done in a while. And you are right. Not really funny anymore but still miles more interesting than keffals ever was or will be.
