Looks like a Koronesuki said some not so nice things about DOOG in a superchat of all things, fellow Koronesukis started to lynch on Twitter or something, other people jump in to say not nice things about DOOG, Koronesukis start fighting (because, y'know defending you oshi's honor), DOOG sad everyone is throwing shit at each other (plus some of the comments actually did get under her skin). Typical internet things where you have retardation, toxicity, shitty hottakes, etc etc.

I think the offending superchat was talking about Korone not reading every superchat and showing favouritism or something. This split the koronesuki into a spergout between "Korone can do what she wants" and "He has a point" and resulted in a general flame war. Doog sad.

I think the default assumption for vtubers is that they will read every SC and it throws people off when you don't specify upfront that you don't. Amongst Myth, Ina's "I read everything offstream but will respond to anything that catches my eye live" is probably my preferred way of handling SC. Though as we've seen, SC can be content in itself with Watson's supasunday or Kiara's famed tangents turning 1 hour streams into 4 hour super chat readings.

It's a bit more of a mess than that
a thai guy sent a supa and she didnt read it, so he sent another to complain but he used google translate to put it in japanese and it came off sounding way worse than he meant it to
he talked to one of korone's dedicated fansubbers and the situation was explained and he apologized to korone on twitter
so a fairly large part of the community made peace with it, even if they thought it was dumb to complain about not having your supa read (it is), they accepted he didnt mean any harm
unfortunately then a mix of antis, SEAnigs and twitter spergs joined the fray
antis said she only reads supas from her biggest donors and only plays the games they want her to play
some people also start attributing these accusations to him
he gets various "fuck you and die" messages from all angles
the initial part of the community that already forgave him try to explain things and encourage everyone to make peace
they get accused of making excuses for antis saying horrible things and also get attacked
some took the bait and flamed back
Korone sees all this and the antis posts and takes a break
people then start blaming the dude for her taking a break and the cycle begins again

this worked depressingly well for the antis
why would anyone be a doog anti ffs

Don't worry, no one else remembers he exists either.

He "debuted" right after Council. Had a big teaser, a lore video and all this hype from the girls. Turned out to be a Twitter profile that makes shit jokes and announces Hololive news sometimes.

If Salome isn't just a prank then I hope she's more like A-chan than she is AO.

Nijisanji could do with an official host on their main channel if only because it frees Maimoto and other hosting regulars up to do more of their own stuff.

Alphaomega fucking sucks and I still to this day don't know what they were even going for with it. They'll probably come back in for StarsEN / EN3 like it was all part of the plan but I honestly think they wanted to do more lore stuff and dropped it because everyone thinks Council lore is gay.

thank you both for clearing it up. Looks like I caught the part where people were blaming high superchats for what Korone plays but not everything else (very difficult to completely verify wtf is going on when everyone just wants to hugbox it plus Korone asking clippers to not clip and sub).

Either way, its fucking retarded. And I think most would agree, even the Niji fans, you can't really hate the DOOG.
