I don't believe anyone who isn't a z-tard would try to propagate the idea that Russia is oppressive and authoritative. That isn't what this is about though, it's about being disgustingly gaslit into believing that Ukraine is marginally better.
It is more than just marginally better.
Russia is watching the war from TV while Ukrainians are living it. Different standards apply.
Their platform was deliberately eliminated and fragmented so that even if they tried to rebrand they would have to build from the ground up. Don't be disingenuous.
Are we actually simping for political parties now? Oh now, they have to throw out all of the old logos and flags.
The people are the same, the money is the same, the connections are the same. It's only the facade that changes. Give me a break. I don't give a shit about people in suits and who probably never worked a real job in their lives having to face such a small inconvinience.
There isn't a bigger sign of purging than officially banning entire political parties, not your short-sighted conjectures. Nice slippery slope.
Yeah, there are. Such as lining people against the wall and shooting them.
I think you are perhaps unfamiliar with history if you think this is a purge.
Prove me wrong.
McCarthy was looking for spies. The spies existed and were feeding the Soviet Union with intel.
Now people use "McCarthyism" as a synonym for the red scare or as a shorthand for political "cancelling" but McCarthy wasn't even wrong.
Are we even talking about the same thing here? The political parties in Ukraine aren't apart of the Russian armed forces
But they represent the political force that wanted a closer relationship with Russia, which is now a nation at war with Ukraine.
That is nearly 3 million voting aged citizens. Do you really think unimpeded dissolvement of the political dissidents of which a substantial proportion voted for in 2019 is inconsequential, or are you just dense?
And 5 million citizens had to flee the country as a result of Russia's actions. There's maybe even overlap there. If you voted for the party that was pro-Russia and your home got bombed and now you're living in Poland or Germany do you actually give that much of a shit that your political party had to be reformed? You don't even know when you'll be back, or even if you want to go back.
