I think he's literally trying to get viewers to pay for the privilege of making his content for him.
Part of the reason why he might be doing it in a livestream format is the ease of doing it that way. People pay you when live and create your content for you.
Looks like Digi is happy with how the show turned out and will stick with its new format:

Who is the girl in the livestreams? Is that Rileys gf?
Yes, she's Mint Salad, who does commission art, particularly many of the graphics for the Dick Show and Who Are These Podcasts.

EDIT: a new Ygger EP, Telegraphing, will be coming out (in a undetermined time) after a four day studio recording session:

And he's imported his entire Youtube channel ("Ygg Studio") to Odysee:

Digi has tried to upload his Eureka Seven video 16 times to Youtube to no avail; it's now available on Odysee:
The Odysee link: https://odysee.com/@yggstudio:c/animealphabetk1:6 @Keeper of Locks & Keys, I'm tagging you as you appear particularly interested in Digi's Eureka Seven video.

An apparent "blockchain" and cryptocurrency-based ("LBRY") alternative to Youtube that doesn't respect copyright so much that even a lazy editor like Digi can upload his videos containing anime footage and apparently not suffer any legal consequences. This will go well...

So I guess this is the start of the "Odysee Arc" for Digi and crew...

Speaking of cryptocurrencies, I wonder what Digi's various investments into them look like at the moment, especially after their market crash within the last few weeks.

Probably not great if he went all in. I have about $15,000 invested into crypto and it's roughly worth $10,000 currently. Unless he was smart and bought in during the crash he's probably lost a good amount of money and the only more retarded step to do after that is pull out. Beyond that it's a good idea to send uploads to multiple platforms to make a little extra revenue and have a backup incase YouTube decides to fuck him like they are doing with the Eureka 7 video.

In the short term it's a good idea, and I assume Digi's remaining fans are probably loyal enough to bother switching to Odysee to see his latest content. But in the long term I wonder how well this very platform being based on a cryptocurrency that doesn't even rely on advertisements (I'm relying on the French Wikipedia entry for this information, though there is an English Wikipedia article on LBRY itself), so it's not even like the Brave browser with its Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) that are generated as an reward to its users that view ads in affiliation with their partners. Does Digi expect to get tips from his viewers (he doesn't seem to be charging them upfront) when they stream his content on Odysee?

Oh god I never tried Odysee and the buffering is terrible (as in, I'm going to have to let this buffer for over an hour to view it on my shitty garbo mobile internet). But I'm a guy who's good on my word.. hell I'm fella you can put a gamble on, a real trustworthy dude... so let's get this over with.

It's over an hour.
May God have mercy on my soul, as Jesus wept, this is only part 1.

Whew lad.

0:00 to 8:30 - Digi talks about the rise of production companies, his point being how rare it is to see an original anime production, as it's safer to base something of manga/LN and have sales feedback into each-other as a two way street between the adaption and the sourcematerial. Que giant robots to sell toys to kids, which leads to sci-fi anime and eventually Evangelion and it's succes. He talks more shows like Bebop and Escaflowne, but you can see how this opening leads to Eureka Seven. Good point from him is that all sci-fi and mech shows boiled down to the same plot over and over again to where he got tired of it back in the 2000's when anime originals were at their most prevalent, culminating with Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann as a final hurrah for the genre. So far not bad.

8:30 to around 20:00: Lots of interesting details about the staff that worked on the titles and the circumstances around it's creation. He mentions that when the most influential person came on board, the world design for the show was mostly done, so they tried to create a story around the world instead of a world around a story. I myself didn't know that Tengen Toppa was in preproduction for four years and thus was being made at the same time as Eureka Seven. Even Digi admits that there are anime that did a better job with their main story than Eureka Seven, but that way Eureka Seven goes about it's coming of age story when it comes to the characters is unique.

20:00 to 29:00: a lot of talk about Bandai wanting to make a new mecha franchise with studio Bones called Eureka Seven (only the name was decided) was taken as a golden oppertunity by the production staff to just make whatever they wanted. Loosely qouted: "We didn't include western elements for a western fanbase, we just included whatever we liked and if western fans noticed, they would probably get a laugh out it as well". Kind of how the main character was named after the MC from the movie Trainspotting. This is where the staff and background information portion of the video ends which I thought was the most interesting.

Core of the video:
29:00 to around 37:00: He talks about the opening moments of the show, noting that eureka seven handles races and people from different walks of life better than most shows, which I agree on. If you know the show that eventually leads him into music (especially the track Storywriter).

37:00 to around 39:50: lots of musical theory talk which goes over my head. And someone please confirm, because I think he's also partially speaking out of his ass.

39:50 to end: lots of talk about the first episode and how good of a job it does. Small section on how the character design of Eureka really attracted him to the show, but lots of other points he made I've heard or made myself before. I skipped over a lot of details, but that's mostly because it would take an insane amount of qouting for a minimal amount of interesting information, such as him looking back on his own life, feelings or situation when it comes to several scenes.

Conclusion: this video is pretty much tranny talk-free. Actually felt like an old Digibro video minus the swearing and edge; I enjoyed listening/watching. But yeah he needs an editor 'cause its footage up the wazoo. Him saying that youtube are nazi's for flagging him over and over are total BS, he is using way, way, way too much footage.

Certified only 2% POZZED, no bitch voice, no on screen appearance of himself (unless I looked away for a split second).

Digi's take on the drama of Sam Hyde being banned by iDubbbz moments before the Creator Crash Youtube celebrity boxing event last weekend and generally being blacklisted:

Interesting that Digi mentions Anthony Fantano; Digi appeared on The Needle Drop with Anthony Fantano back in March 2016: https://podtail.com/podcast/the-needle-drop-with-anthony-fantano/ep-42-digibro/

Gibbontake vs Digi should be on the card; revenge for the latter's transphobia towards the former on the WATP podcast.

Hard agree, but we both know Gib is too much of a flacid man to ever do such a thing. Though I imagine him harboring some nerd rage and actually kicking Digi's ass when his switch gets flipped.

There's no music theory talk. He's just talking about how the music sounds and [of course] how it makes him feel.
Someone talking about how it has certain influences of x genre, how the buildup works and when certain tones take charge is enough for me call to call it music theory as I'm a dumb as a brick when it comes to that. Sorry if you were expecting actual music theory.
