Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

This begs the question: If he was already on the run after shooting his grandma, then why didn't the police notify the area so they could put a lockdown into place? At the very least, that probably would've saved a few lives. It's gross negligence.
At this rate, the conspiracy theorists might even wonder if it was really a gross negligence and if they let the situation going much worst on purpose.

At least from my own experience of being in a public elementary school years ago, lockdown drills were done at least once every school year. They were rarely used in real life (most cases were of robberies). Those lockdowns really do help, and are even better if they are done before a shooter gets in the building. I agree that it sounds like gross negligence on the law enforcement part. If they couldn’t catch him right after his first murder, they should have altered the surrounding areas to prepare for lockdowns.

This guy was already WANTED for murdering his grandmother about an hour earlier. They drove him off into a ditch, he ran into the school, and opened fire. The Police and Sheriff are going to have a HUGE headache from this one.
I thought he was not being pursued and just pulled over into the ditch

Where are you hearing that he was in pursuit and took refuge in the school? Because theres video of him casually walking into the school.

Biden is wondering why this doesnt happen in other countries. Except they do. Mass shooting do happen in lots of places around the world. All of them are multi cultural countries too. That seems to be the one truly unifying feature with very rare exceptions.
I don't think its multiculturalism is the root cause more like a side effect to the real issue of people unable to find purpose in the modern and take out their frustrations on the public. In the past it was easy to get a stable job, a home, start a family and build relationships through church and community. Now shit just seems much more complicated as the job market changes rapidly, dating and sex has became more casual, owning property seems like a far off dream and people no longer seek to make connections with their community.

Even countries that aren't multi cultural like China has to deal with mass stabbings where children are targeted because the killer is lashing out at the world and recently they had that pilot kamikaze an airliner with over a hundred passengers. Hell Japan also has mass killings like that animation studio arson and the assisted living facility stabbings.

AP: "the gunman in the Texas school rampage was shot and killed by a Border Patrol agent who rushed to the scene without waiting for backup, a law enforcement official says. The agent was wounded but was able to walk out of the school."

I just heard that his grandmother is still alive.

(Maybe it was the other grandmother?)
