Even ignoring whether a conceptual antiracism department is good or bad, a federal department who's job it is to preclear every single policy and procedure at the federal, state, and local level, then monitoring those policies, and investigate all levels of all forms of government would require tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of employees lmao

The entire point that the country is divided into state and then local governments is that its not possible to do this. Its far too inefficient to attempt to govern the entire nation as a single federal government. Thats literally the point of how our government is set up. Even the current system where the largest federal programs get audited every year for compliance with federal regulations are done at the state level by state workers because its impossible for the feds to do so efficiently

No but you see, if you make guns illegal, the next time a would be shooter searches for the nearest mass shooter equipment store, he’ll find out it’s illegal and go home. Because they blame all of their woes on an external force (society), anyone that falls into criminality must have done so because society drove them to it.

They sometimes go so far as to state this explicitly, especially when they put a racial spin on things.
