Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

Several people care or they wouldn't be arguing. Do we have anything new? Last I checked we had a photo, a name, a victim count, some photos that were of someone else, and a story about police waiting to go in cause they care more about their own lives than the kids.

I'd be fine with a split to deep thoughts at this point. Only here because there's nothing else going on.
Honestly I think a good half of this thread should be moved to the Gun Control thread that is already in Deep Thoughts

I can add more: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, John Quincy Adams, Daniel Webster, Louisa May Alcott, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Robert Frost, Edith Claypole and Agnes Claypole, Pearl S. Buck, Francis Collins, Erik Demaine, Alexander Graham Bell, Abraham Lincoln. Want me to continue? Also I don't think there are thousands of famous American Heroes, considering the DOI has like 30. https://www.doi.gov/american-heroes/heroes
I'm not considering examples from before public education even existed but nice try I guess.

You mean like militaries do all the time?

Okay, name me one American Hero that has came out of the Public Education system and are recognized as a bonafide US hero by federal government.
TBF, most of them, just statistically. Same as major criminals, presidents (before like Bush), and school shooters.
Did you take math at a public school?

Nearly every single one on that list you sent after American education was widespread? The astronaut in Columbia, MLK, Ronald Reagan? And pretty much every single modern famous American you can name alive today who aren't on that one weird list?
Or diy and you have total control. Stop forcing people to do things. We don't want our kids to be bugmen like you.
Edit: No school shooters at home either.
I don't want every American to be an inbred homeschool kid like you. Homeschooling should be considered a form of abuse because of how much it can stunt a person's development.

School isn't the only place kids can socialize with other kids. Even if there were some kind of merit to this argument the abuse wouldn't be homeschooling, it would be keeping your kids locked in the house all the time.

It's where the vast majority of socializing occurs and pretending otherwise would be brain dead. I think replacing the entire faculty of a school as sole educator and role model for your kid just isn't a good idea.

It doesn't matter if they can do so sufficiently elsewhere, which they can. And not all socialization is good socialization. The columbine shooters got plenty of interaction at school. How did that work out?

And again, you don't understand how it is someone learns, for example, mathematical concept. When I said the learning happens in your head earlier, that had nothing to do with doing math problems in your head vs on paper. The point is you learn a math concept by thinking about it. Nit even necessarily by doing problems over and over. Its not something an "educator" does for you.

I wanna know what the granny is going to gurgle out of her shot up face hole about how crazy her grand spawn was

Uh. Yeah that’s a gross sentence. Sorry guys

The mom is in total denial. “Sure he has a history of aggression, skipping school, is a crack baby, shot his grandma and 19 kids… HE WOULD NEVER HURT ANYONE!!!” as she holds the hand of the faceless grandma. Wow.

The market wasnt flooded with cheap, mass produced, high capacity firearms easily available to 18 year old internet addicted /pol/tards and wannabe revolutionaries either. Weird huh?
I bought my Winchester lever action .30-.30 with the money I made on my summer job.

They were cheap, mass produced, and high capacity even back then since an AR-15 was like $150.

I wasn't homeschooled. I went to a public school then college even have a master's degree and think the earth is round.

School is why I hate school. While personally I want the abolition of public schools beyond grade 6, I do not think that will happen and I'm not about to go campaigning for it. I have mine, you can fuck off.
Public schooling should be a last resort if you can't homeschool or afford private. Inner city public schooling IS child abuse. Homeschooling has been deemed a constitutional right. Cry more that people who disagree with you are allowed control over their children.

It's where the vast majority of socializing occurs.
Only because of mandatory schooling.

The astronaut in Columbia
Fair enough
Went to Morehouse College, which is a private institution. He also went to Boston University, which is private as well.
Ronald Reagan?
Went to Eureka, Private college.
Googles medal of honor recipients
I don't think having your name on the Medal of Honor recipients for some third world military campaign is going to net you a statue somewhere and hero status by the feds. Maybe a nice state plaque that will be tarnished by time and that's about it

I'm not talking about public universities lol, pretty sure MLK went to some horribly impoverished segregated school as a kid and still came out ok.
