Congrats on the Silver Play Button

To tell ya the truth the lads I think he was talking about me, I just decided to have a little fun and do some low effort trolling in his asks, I only got two messages off before he closed anonymous asking. The first I can remember almost word for word I said "You still alive? I heard you shot up a school in Texas and then got iced by ICE.", the second was longer and I started off by saying his anger about ROE vs WADE was because he loved the murder of the innocent and that he will murder anyone who gets in the way of that(I don't even really care about it, I just know that'll piss him off.).

I then moved on to mentioning that he loves to jack off to anime child porn and I know that because he used the same sockpuppet account name that he used for tv tropes to make his porn account. I then said he was just malicious and that he is a sociopath and that is evidenced by his disregard for others such as his hatred for anyone who takes a position he disagrees with or how he so vociferously turned on his "loved ones" for displeasing him in incredibly minor ways.

I didn't plan any of this here I just did it spontaneously for a lark, I also didn't screen shot my posts(Yeah I know I should have done that now.). I know that wasn't the best of ideas, and I don't even have anyway to prove I did it(Though I honestly think Jerry might let the proof out if he sees this or gets wind of this post.). But I would like to make a retort to him; if my "meltdown" was so glorious why didn't you let it go on or actually show those messages I made to your audience? The only option honestly I see besides him being butt blasted is that its possible he deluded himself into believing I was having a meltdown, but he also doesn't want to let knowledge about his E621 account slip to his audience.

But to state again; yeah I know that wasn't a super great idea and I am telling you all this to be honest and to explain what exactly happened. Its probably not the best lark material, but to counteract his claims about this being part of some grand campaign I just got into this and I saw that he was such a fragile little shitheel that anything will upset his pasty fat ass and I decided to take advantage of that for a quick laugh.

…hey, how come she’s not calling out Josh or any other of her male “haters”? Why is she only slinging shit at women?
There's nothing saying they aren't there. The dudes from that Diregentleman podcast who roasted her 100 writing tips are in there

buuuuut if I can tinfoil hat...Josh had at one point in the past threatened a lawsuit. Now. I am not gonna say it's happening because I don't have any clue and honestly it's more likely josh scorcher has stopped caring about Lily in any respect, but hypothetically if a lawsuit was happening even lily wouldn't be stupid enough to jeopardize a lawsuit by putting out a slandering hitpiece that involved Josh.

but again. I sincerely doubt it because Josh Scorcher is married, and living a happy life.

as for the rest of the various dudes that have harrassed lily, I'm pretty sure most of them are...also...just living their lives. as has been stated, this is the running theme. Lily has built this list for years, all the while the people on that list have just...moved on and are living life and growing as people.

Congrats on the Silver Play Button
Imagine telling that for your grandkids:
"I had a deadass channel & everybody hates me, but i got this motherfucking piece of shit award"
"But grandma, why you're living at the mininum and getting angry at a screen?"
"Screw you, little fuckers. Grandma always had the reason."

it took that long to get one? wasn’t lily on youtube for a decade?

damn lily you’re either really that insufferable and boring as fuck or you started a new account at some point
I've seen YouTubers have their play button delivered months, if not years, later. So nothing too out of the ordinary here.

God help them.

For all of Lilly's shitting on his potential defamation lawsuit, the fear of taking that one step too far is there. It was only after the fact that they pulled back on the constant smearing.

honestly you'd think this same reason would be why she'd hold back on saying anything about Lizzy, because unlike Josh she lives in the same country as Lily does.

Fuck, I'm late.
0:00- 0:41- Intro, Lily starts off hot with complaining about "tropes" like anime perving on underage girls and saying that people call you "sinophobic" for saying so even though I'm pretty sure most people default straight to "racist".
Notes: You have NEVER complained about white favoritism in your videos before (unless I'm blotting something from my memory).
0:42- 2:33- Lily talking about main characters, Mass Effect and OF COURSE she eventually goes to World of Warcraft
Notes: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
2:34- 6:13- Lily gets back on topic (for now) talking about fans' fixations on background characters and adventure fantasy as if it's somehow the end of the world.
Notes: It isn't.
6:14- 7:45- Lily talking about Amity from The Owl House getting all the fans' attention from the moment she was introduced and how the only reason people want her to have more depth is...
Notes: Wait for it... wait for it... (although it is pretty funny watching her mald over the TOH subreddit)
7:46- TA-DAAAAH! The first mention of white favoritism in the video!
Notes: *insert game show theme song of your choice here*
7:47- 16:27- And from here's it's kind of all downhill, so I'll just cover a few bullet points:
- Where have I seen this "preferences" meme before? Oh, that's right, Stitch.
- Lily making weird sweeping generalizations about the TOH fandom that will probably fall apart if I spend five minutes in the fandom.
- Something something Star Wars even though everybody is disappointed that Finn didn't become an important character.
Notes: "This video turned out different than how I was expecting". No it didn't.

Conclusion: I mean, it wasn't THAT incoherent of a discussion. Just really stupid. Sorry if this summary was kind of short, it's just that it really starts to blend together in the second half.

Josh threatening a lawsuit is something the kind of thing i feel like he'd follow through with. I use to watch him a lot and doesnt seme like the type of person to just threaten big things like that and nothing comes from it. obviously time has passed so his opinion might have changed. he has a wife and a loving family so a lawsuit could bury him in debt and with how much he loves his wife (ive seen less of his streams than ive seen clips of lily's but in those few moments there's genuin love not demanding your wife to hold screws like a handyman or something). Unless she starts going directly after his wife also, doubt anything substantial will come.

But doesnt lizzycome from a richer family? I remember lily always ranting about her coming from a rich family. if true and lizzy ends up not being able to handle it anymore, no doubt she could get some of parents' money to help her out with a court case as she had a good relationship with her parents still?

If I remember correctly, Lizzy has also implied legal action if Lily’s slander goes too far. This was probably why her comic character was suddenly changed to Kirsten mid arc.

It’d be great to see, but the name change and arguably parody aspect of the video could prevent it from counting as actual slander.

I think Josh sent her a C&D and was going to escalate into a proper lawsuit, but circumstances in his personal life had him put it on hold. I think he did drop it since then (the escalation at least, pretty sure the C&D is still actionable if Lily tries to talk shit again) since in the interim he was married and his life has moved on to a new stage and Lily just isn't worth it.

Mind I don't follow Josh, that's my memory from this thread.

She's looking for any excuse for why people don't like HER lead characters. That's what this is all about, because it's always all about Lily. The only reason you don't like comic!Lily? She's Native. You don't like Aliana? She's black. And she'll prove that your problem is people of color by proving that you specifically hate other lead characters of color!

But the thing is...

...the main character is usually not the most popular one.

This isn't universal, but in a lot of stories -- especially Western fiction -- the lead character is generally somewhat watered down and more relatable compared to a more colorful supporting cast. Reason for this is that if you go too hard on a personality that people don't enjoy, and that's the character you'll be dominantly following through the entire series, a lot of people will decide that's not the kind of person they want to be spending their time with.

I don't watch The Owl House so my comments are pretty broad on this, but Luz is a regular girl from our world who gets transported to a fantastical magical land, right? That premise means that we as an audience know a lot more about her because most of us are also regular human beings from the real world and have a reasonable baseline assumption about her background and life experience. This is compared to the Boiling Isles, which is filled with magic and intrigue that Luz -- and the audience -- are all working to understand, both in terms of the literal magic an the world itself and in terms of other characters. A character like Amity is inherently more interesting than Luz because she's an unknown and people want to learn about her.

To invoke the Series that Must Not be Named, for instance, relatively few people pick Harry as their favorite character. Nobody hates him (except maybe in Book 5, where his untreated PTSD turns him into Capslock Harry and he gets a bit hard to deal with for a while), but usually fans will be more interested in Hermione or Ron or Luna or Draco Malfoy, or maybe even Dumbledore or McGonagall, or Lupin, or Tonks... Harry is pretty milquetoast compared to his more exaggerated, wackier wizard acquaintances explicitly because they're more exaggerated and wackier.

A little more in Lily's field, how about Gravity Falls? People like Mabel and Dipper, but they LOVE Grunkle Stan and Soos and Blendin Blandin and Bill Cipher and Pacifa and... you get the idea. Soos in particular if of Latin descent and memed as the Perfect Man in the fandom. What racists.

And of course, directly in her wheelhouse:

- Something something Star Wars even though everybody is disappointed that Finn didn't become an important character.

This.

It's just typical of how the characters are handled. Usually the lead is the most down-to-earth and relatable, making it easy to like them but less common to love them. There's no great white conspiracy.

If anything, it's more common for the lead character to be a cis, white man or woman because that's likely to be the majority of your audience. Is it white favoritism to make your lead a white character, too? Even if they are surrounded by much more interesting and popular characters of different races? I dunno, maybe I'm stupid but "White favoritism" just sounds like another buzzword so vague in what it actually refers to that it doesn't actually mean anything (see: Acountability). Like, is it just white people getting preferential treatment? Is it white favoritism that the Star Wars sequels are about Rey, a white woman, and not Finn? Or is it white favoritism that Rey is more popular than Finn? If you switched Luz and Amity's skin tones so that Amity was now a Hispanic witch (whatever that even means for the context of the Boiling Isles) and Luz was our young, white protagonist. Is it white favoritism that the protag is now white instead of the "more interesting" Hispanic witch side character? Is this specifically about white characters being more popular in various fandoms than the non-white ones?

All I'm saying is that it makes total sense that Lily got this from Stitch, because this shit is dumb as Hell and only matters to people whose lives revolve around fandom.

strap in boys. it begins

i'll try and screenshot any thing interesting from chat i see unfortunately chat was boring. one message got redacted and i didn't screenshot it before it was but it didnt say much of worth as i was reading it constantly and nothing of interest was really being said other than people swooning over her terrible new puppet courtesy of her art slave. The video itself is interesting though but dissecting those aren't my forte. I'll post screenshots of chat if interested as a spoiler collection of needed. otherwise. apologies for nothing at all.

you need to also remember lily's miopic view on artwork is centered around fandom

if youre taking a cartoon like the owl house, for example, a large part of its fans are not in fandom: the little kids, the people that watch occasionally, the people that do love the show but dont feel the need to discuss it, etc...

the people in fandom are the ones that want to discuss things beyond, make theories, make transformative works, and of course they are going to focus the things the show doesnt focus on. whats the point in discussing and arguing about things set in stone in the series canon?

lily's sample is biased. that's how she can say insane things like "people dont watch slice of life shows or simple comedies, only adventure cartoons", when spongebob, loud house and ttgo are the heaviest money makers today and gumball and regular show are still getting reruns, being acclaimed and praised on the internet

Lily has finally had it with the damn dirty Kiwi Farms.
All right, here's the one we've all been waiting for! Though I'm sure you'll want to see "Bitch Eating Crackers" for yourself, I'm still going to be doing my thing.

0:00- 1:04- Intro, Lily differentiates between "stalkers" and "people having bad takes on her", acknowledges that some people have legitimate reasons to be angry with her.
Notes: We'll see how long she can keep up this distinction.
1:05 - 1:55 - Lily starts alluding to specific "stalkers" with Innuendo Studios-esque avatars, misuses "parasocial", has the nerve to call other people ableist, says that technically she can't sue these people because they haven't caused actual tangible harm.
Notes: Hey ,"Katie" is pink now. That's... better, I guess.
1:56 - 3:04 - Lily starts addressing people's inciting incidents, starting with "Karen" and "Carol". Something about Vaush harassing two black women, something about armchair diagnosis, which she has no room to judge other people for.
Notes: I'll just be honest and say that I don't know what Lily's lying about and what she's telling the truth about for almost the entirety of this video. Somebody other than me will need to fact-check the claims within.
3:05 - 4:32 - Lily gets around to Lizzy (not going to bother using the fake name here), and some other former members of her friend group.
Notes: Lily, you CANNOT hold the positions "my SU video was overwhelmingly positively received" and "people are stalking and harassing me over it" at the same time. Well, you can, it just takes a bit of reaching.
4:33 - 9:38 - Lily is in denial over the idea of her hemorrhaging friends, saying that she totally doesn't have a habit of driving people away stop laughing. She goes to ridiculous lengths to call people hypocrites who don't even know why they hate her, insisting that each set of opposing viewpoints is totally coming from the same person every time, I"M NOT OBSESSED YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!
Notes: Again, Lily can't decide if people should pay attention to her or not.
9:39 - 15:41 -Lily talks about how "lolcows" like Chris-Chan get stalked over trivial wrongdoings, "bullies have low self-esteem", Lily's new puppet makes a debut, video ends.
Notes: Again, can somebody fact-check this video, specifically the non-binary person committing suicide over being stalked? Also, the idea that "bullies and stalkers have low self-esteem" is literally untrue, just look it up.

Conclusion: Well, that was anti-climatic. Even Lily's coping is boring.
