Unfortunately for normal people, ports on the Pacific are a key part of American prosperity and power, as much as we hate the people who are in charge of them. We probably shouldn't give some of the most important economic & strategic assets on the planet to delusional perverts just because we're too weak to ever say, "no," but I could see exactly that happening.

IIRC, there was a rather vocal contingent within the BLM crowd who unironically espoused similar rhetoric.
Jordan Peele's god-awful TV show he did for Amazon Prime was built on that premise, at least partially.
Honestly, this is very much the case. The ironic part is that Michael Moore used to support a similar stance, or at least claimed he did at one point.

Pointing out that attempting to destroy private gun ownership in a country where several millions, likely well above ten millions, of people would rather use their guns than allow them to be taken away would have severe consequences needs to happen more often.
Any attempt to confiscate or ban future sales of guns which are possessed by private citizens in the millions would fail, and result in more people killed by guns than any time since the Civil War before it failed. On the other hand, BLM and conservatives would then be united in the belief that killing agents of the State is a good thing. Racial reconciliation!

I'm really not sure why the left thinks gun violence against pro-gun advocates will make them anti-gun advocates. Put them in a situation where they can legally shoot a bunch of communists and prove exactly how useful guns are for self defense? Don't threaten them with a good time.

Cops sat outside the classroom and school building for 40 minutes while the white hispanic shot 35 kids murdering 20 until the Border Patrol guy and two other cops took it upon themselves to actually do their job and put a bunch of holes in him
The main effort of the police was to keep parents from going inside themselves to do the cops' job
The school cop and two regular cops encountered the white hispanic before he got into the classroom, the two cops at least got in a shootout with him where they were lightly injured. Then the cops did nothing for almost an hour after that
Only cops need guns we don't need private citizens to be armed we have the cops available to do nothing with their guns and robocop body armor and military surplus armored vehicles while children are massacred. This town of 16,000 has its own fucking SWAT team that did jack shit don't you get it you MAGAt CHUD sweaties you don't need guns we have the police!

Nope, they absolutely wanted to see the blood of kids like Kyle Rittenhouse and Nick Sandmann, they openly posted and fetishized very detailed ideas of the violence they wanted inflicted on these kids. It was deranged and creepy as fuck. They're cowards who don't want to do the violence themselves because THEY might get hurt but they'd love to see you locked in a basement tortured for years in the most depraved horrific manner possible
