Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

I had to look this person with such midwit takes and read she is a former high school civics teacher (which school and when is hard to find) who taught in Duluth MN a city that is 80% white according to the most recent census but which also has had an increasing crime rate for the past several years, and while she taught there this doesn't mean she lived there, and probably lived in a suburb as most teachers who teach in high crime areas do. I found a page which she says she taught in St. Paul, California, and Washington DC (again, where and at which institutions/schools is not readily available) and then moved back to Duluth, so there's conflicting info on her. If you go to sharonmcmahon.com, its a slick site where you can see her "team" of a fellow white wahmen and two mystery meat females, pay to join her monthly workshops (and see old ones), join her private forum, buy her merch (naturally) and join her Zoom hangouts. Oh, and you can listen to her say how witnessing January 6 was like watching domestic terrorism, so unbiased she is not. She definitely gives off an air of being astroturfed by a liberal PAC, org or three letter agency, but nice grift if you can get it.
She is definitely a grifter. She is being promoted like crazy and it doesn’t look organic.

Popularity contests do not equate to quality of life. There is a difference between an idealized version of a place and what it is actually like. Instead of trying to acknowledge the severity of the issues and fixing them, you try to deflect by saying "B-but how come everyone wants to come here?! HA , checkmate yuropoor" . This delusion is one of the many reasons as to why problems in 'murica never get solved.

Only Popularity factored
Only Cost and Popularity factored
No Climate or Popularity (Two of the most negligible factors IMHO)
All factors balanced
Only Climate non-factored
Only Popularity non-factored
Healthcare non-factored with half Climate

Cops protecting politicians vs. cops protecting civilians. This is ripe meme territory.
Da.
Also i never understood why people think they should put their lives in the hands of the state. One, the state isn't your friend. Two, cops are people they aren't going to irrationally charge a shootout without proper tactical planning even if the planning turned out to be piss poor. realistically nobody really does, real life isn't the movies but thank god there are people who don't have a self preservation instinct and are willing to put their lives on the lines for others who aren't their family or close friends when shit truly hits the fan.

The fuck do people think how everyday niggas saved themselves before the 1900's when all government levels severely bloated to insane in your ass HOA proportions?

No, seriously, I'm starting to wonder if a fucking team of professional video game streamers could have come up with a more effective tactical response (minus the physical labor part of course) than the actual cops did.
I actually think this is one of the most under stated bits about modern gunman that gets overlooked. They're just better than their predecessors in firefights. If you watch the stream of the Buffalo shooter or even better executed Tarrant shooting you can quickly see that they know to do stuff like check corners when entering a room and how to hold angles properly. This is stuff that used to be exclusively in the domain of military or SWAT but now is commonplace because of first person shooters, the Columbine kids just wandered around aimlessly in the middle of hallways, cafeteria, and library. Tarrant and this Buffalo shooter knew to move to cover to reload, check corners and glance behind them often enough to ensure they weren't getting attacked from the rear.

Decades of Counterstrike are having an effect on the youth, they're difficult for even SWAT teams to deal with.

That incident lead to Trudeau aiming for another gun grab, despite the guy asleep with the Feds.
Don't think only these small town cops are the only ones who will sit on their asses and do nothing.

Canada is currently having an inquiry/investigation on the 2020 Nova Scotia mass shooter where, over a span of 13 hours, killed 22 people, and set fire to 16 different locations. What did the RCMP do? Warn their own families in the area, but only bothered to inform the public over Twitter. Fucking Twitter.

Oh and they shot at a bunch of civilians sheltering in a fire hall because they thought some guy was maybe the shooter, before driving off.

The shooter, Wortman, was also suspected to be a RCMP criminal informant.

Cops will not protect you.
That whole incident glows brightly. The guy had access to RCMP equipment on top of how the cops responded. It seems pretty clear to me it was a set up to prime a gun grab.

I'm sick of people like Beat-Off O'Dork and President Bad-Touch lecturing me on what kind of firearm I "need" and how I'm responsible for tragedies like this simply because I'm a gun owner (who is law abiding), yet they're also the ones who say it's racist to expect criminals to be held accountable for their criminal behavior if they aren't white, are happy to support women killing their unborn babies because they can't keep their legs closed, are pushing to open the borders without vetting the illegals in any way, and are generally selling out the United States in any way they can. And let's not forget Biden covering up the illegal activities his own son has engaged in and that the President himself us likely complicit in the crimes.

If you aren't going to address WHY these sick fucks end up killing innocent people and are going to ignore statistical facts, like that rifles of any kind account for less than three percent of ALL firearms relayed deaths and that one particular race is responsible for 50% of crimes of all kinds despite only amounting to 13% of the population, then you don't get to infringe upon my right to keep and bear arms. The vast majority of gun owners are law abiding and not a threat and roughly half the population owns at least one gun. If our leaders can't be honest about the real issues plaguing our nation then no improvement will ever be made.

Tbh this could be a factor. These days anyone can make something using shit you find in a grocery store aisle that can do more damage than a gun, these days it's common knowledge that cops surround then breach, people know basic tactics etc.

But don't get me wrong. Playing vidya or watching action movies is no substitute for training, equipment and numbers. The cops had a ton of resources they could have utilized. Probably more than we even know - cops have been getting military grade hardware courtesy of US taxpayers for a couple decades now. I find it extremely hard to believe that within a half hour they couldn't have been fully equipped for a breach. And tbh the equipment or training isn't even relevant. At the end of the day, whether it's "legally" your duty or not, if you sign up to be a cop or on HRT or SWAT especially, you sign up knowing you might get shot. You sign up knowing you might die. But you sign up knowing thats your choice and you sign up to do it because others won't.

And these guys just fucking didn't.

The everyday civilians on flight 93 showed more guts than an entire towns fucking police force.

I just read some new (to me) info, so I thought I'd share it.

-Ramos' dropped out of high school and started working 5 days a week at Wendy's (head chef, kidding) since at least February which is how he was able to purchase $4500 worth or guns and ammo.

-Ramos' grandmother had taken him out to Applebees to celebrate his 18th birthday last week (sad)

-He purchased (or received) the guns on May 17th and the 20th

-The cops found one of the guns in his grandma's truck and a backpack with ammo in it outside, on the ground

-A DDM4 V7 was the gun he used to kill

-He shot his grandma in the head but she is expected to survive

-Ramos allegedly told the classroom "you're going to die" before he opened fire

-He shot and killed a 10 year old girl as she was trying to call 911

-A Border Patrol agent who had been manning a nearby post entered the school and exchanged gunfire, killing Ramos

-Ramos was wearing body armor, but not technically since there were no plates in them (faggot)

These are some of the children who were killed

So sad, when will the violence in Mexico stop?!
I have met numerous homeschooled kids IRL. Not only are they normal, they were taking college classes at 16.

Being educated by your parents, who should love you more than life itself, will make you more well-adjusted than being thrown into the public school thunderdome where your peers pressure you and treat you like shit, and the teachers look the other way (when they aren't making you stay after to Affirm Your Gender).

The public school system is making dysfunctional basket cases.
Homeschooling is not the solution. Check out the Jill Rodrigues thread on this site.

Seriously though, I completely understand where you're coming from on all this. The fact that there's still people out there who still don't understand this stuff makes me want to throw up my hands and say, "You know what? Fuck everything."

I'm not signing in just to view a video you linked to; if you absolutely need it to make your point then post the video, or just say you can't express yourself without using visual aids

Horrifying. Just to play Devil's Advocate, it looks like the School and Responders were using Active Shooter Response playbooks created back in the day following Columbine, and never ever updated to more modern ways of thinking.
- The School itself would appear to be not simply insecure, but insecurable. With every classroom having unprotected external doors that did not restrict access.
- They appear to have defaulted to a "Shelter in Place/Hide in the closet/bathroom" tactic. Modern thinking views this as simply lining up lambs for the slaughter. Modern thinking is basically Get the Kids in Motion. Run for it and do everything you can to distract the gunman while doing so. Throw shit at his head. But if the kids are running He can't hit all of them. Get them out of the classroom and out in the open heading for help.
- The Police Response if we are being charitable, would appear to have been trained to wait for full tactical units and do entry only with a full coordinated team. This is once again old school stupidity. Modern thinking is Get in there and engage the gunman! You have body armor, the kids don't. You are better trained to shoot in a stress situation than the gunman ever would be. Go straight for him. Do it fast. Do it immediately. Do not wait to engage. We saw when the Border Patrol Tactical guys arrived that is precisely what they did.

There will ba a lot of questions that will need answering here. Because once again it looks like every adult who had any contact with the piece of shit shooter dropped the ball and missed glaring red flags. Every adult expected to think on how to keep those kids safe failed at their job save one. The BPS officer who went straight in, and put a bullet in him while everybody else stood around trying to figure out what to do.
i'm about 2 years out of date but the last time i received ALICE training if you weren't basically at the exit or completely exposed in a hallway you're still supposed to hunker down. The difference is you don't sit under your desks quietly and hope they walk by. Instead you hit the lights and the second the intruder enters the room you throw everything you can. IIRC they also wanted the class to pick 1-3 students to rush the shooter with the teacher to try and take them down.

Just opening the doors and hoping for the best leads to trampling and other potential injuries and potentially turning what is better described as your fish in a barrel into lambs to the slaughter. If the gunman is forced to break into the room you're at least engaging him on your terms.
