Because kids are judgy pieces of shit. And I guess the guys didn't want to "share" their interests with girls because girls are icky and boring. And the other girls didn't like girls being into things that guys are into because "you're not supposed to like those things". At least that was the answer my childhood best friend gave when she was shocked that I dared to like "boy things".

I had the same problem of boys excluding me, but that all changed in high school when they were all like "Sure, you can hang out with us, infact we would love for you to." as it made you like, 20 percent hotter for liking those things.

I've always been really fond of tomboys, makes it all the more fun. And yes tomboys are 20% hotter because of loving men things but still being womanly. Play sports? She will do that with pleasure. Watch sci-fi shit? She will do that while cuddling with you. Occasion calls for wearing a dress? No problemo, she slips in perfectly. The tomboy is quite literally the best of a girlfriend and best friend in one without any of the downsides.

And it's fucking travesty that right now I'm seeing tomboys being groomed and warped into troons. The Tomboy Genocide must be stopped.

I will never understand how the version of the rainbow flag with black, brown and pastel stripes became the most widespread one considering what a nightmare it is to look at. Even with the obvious pandering to every woke cause, how does anyone in their right mind believe something this ugly will sell? The first time I saw the "progress" pride flag with an arrow I legitimately thought it was a joke and now it's everywhere.
The teal and pink stripes were removed from the original Gilbert Baker flag to make it more marketable only for the flag to be made to look astoundingly bad a few decades later. There is no way people actually like this, even the most liberal among us must be pretending not to think it's the most hideous color scheme they've ever laid eyes on.

In a way it's fitting, a visual representation of the TQ+ taking a massive shit all over the progress same-sex attracted people have made.

A grudge I hold against the gay community is that they basically took rainbows away from little kids and tainted them with the association of sex. Little kids who liked rainbows would of course love to have a rainbow flag without understanding the implications of owning it. Imagine being one of those kids and some creepy mouth breather adult asks you if that means you like other girls/other boys. How incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassing would that be? Imagine being that kid's parent, especially if the child is being accosted by a man.

Turning something that was mainly for children into a sex symbol and decking out kids with dedicated sexual pride merch is some sick shit.

Personally, I'm hoping that the original flag ends up like the Pink and Purple Lesbian Pride flag. They added Orange (a masculine color) to it later to include Trans people, so now anyone that uses the original is seen as a TERF dogwhistle.

Surely deliberately choosing the flag that doesn't include Trans and Black people (when you have the choice between the two variants) will get people looking at you suspiciously in the mainstream. I haven't seen any of them attacking each other other it yet, but hopefully it's coming.

And then afterwards people can use as many rainbows as they want without guilt, since you'll be mentally damaging these people every time they see it.

Hey man, don't pin that on us. The only people that do that kind of stuff are troons and terminally online kweers (who, let's be honest, don't interact with irl people anyways so that wouldn't be a problem in the first place). I’m a lesbian but also have always loved rainbow shit. Cheer Bear was always my favorite Care Bear as a wee girl, for example. Became really awkward as I got older when I wasn’t allowed to have or display rainbow shit to not “out” myself to more homophobic family members or locals. I grew up with Lisa Frank for fuck’s sake. I can’t help it.

I do have a soft spot for the six stripe Baker flag. It’s the only flag I accept on principle, partly because the rainbow is so aesthetically pleasing. I see adding more and more stripes to it to be more “inclusive” rather offensive, considering that the rainbow was inclusive enough in its symbolism. I recently saw a version that included the motherfucking intersex pride flag along with the “poc” and tranny stripes. What’s next? Fugly non-binary or ace stripes? At this point it is parody. I can’t look at that thing without amused disgust. Also I’m not black so I feel weird at being associated with a flag like that.

As much as I embrace the standard Baker flag, though, I don’t mind if it becoming passé makes rainbow colors more mainstream again. I mainly go for basic clothes but I have a weakness for basic roygbiv shit (whether I buy it or not). Would be nice to buy a rainbow colored item and have it not be automatically labeled Pride. Rainbows on non pride merchandising are always out of order or shitty color combos so they’re not associated with gay sex.

It’s just a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation for me, I guess. Looking forward to seeing all the fugly shit about to be shilled in June, though!
