Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

If gun control laws wouldn't help, why did he wait until he could legally purchase the one he used?
He was a nofriends wagie living with his grandparents, where would he have the connections to illegally buy a gun?

I am SICK of these faggots trying to spin this shit. He went in with a rifle, not a machine gun nest.

I hope the masses eat them alive for spouting this dribble. Very MATI right now.

I love all the retards saying this and not realizing all the cops had ARs too
I'm reminded that line from Demolition Man that is currently relevant: "We're police officers! We're not trained to handle this kind of violence!"

Fuck. you.

Western Europe today is only in the state it is in because of the US (Marshall Plan and all that). Euros would be forced to have more of a gun culture again if they couldn’t rely on Uncle Sam for protection.

Coulda woulda shoulda, pal.

As is you get to be a wagie your entire life while everyone else lives it up at your expense.

And what are you gonna do, demand the government stops giving us a free ride? That's not happening on your account.

Say what you will, but as far as political responses go, Trump at least was more tactful than Obama and Beto:

I agree with you on that one, it's kinda crazy how he went from being Turbo-Hitler to possibly being the least bad option among the few we have.

Not that I like the guy or anything, he's always been a con man and a fraud. And he's still a New York Democrat from the 90s who engages in grift and fraud.

That's literally the first thing that came to mind when I heard they didn't go in to try to at least engage the guy.
Out of all the posts I've seen in regards to this incident, this might be the absolute worst one of all. At least with the others it's predictable, but this is so out of left field, I don't even know where to begin.

When I said all the security in the world doesn't help when insiders sabotage their facilities by propping doors open, I had no idea that's what actually happened here.

Parse this statement for me and show me were it requires being part of a militia and restricts public ownership of semi-automatic rifles. Show your work and a there will be a quiz on this.
Ramos was in the militia anyway.

10 USC 246(a) said:
The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

Somehow a lot of people forgot what the militia is. It's basically everyone who can bear arms and owes allegiance to the United States (or their state). And "regulated" has the old-timey meaning you see in mechanical clocks and watches, something that runs well and is there when you need it, not requiring a lot of adjustments. When the Constitution refers to controlling the militia, it uses the phrase "organizing, arming, and disciplining," which is limited to when the militia is "in actual service in time of War or public danger."

So when the framers said we needed a well-regulated militia, they meant we needed a body of citizens ready to respond and rapidly constitute military units when the President (or the governor) called for them. Realizing that this only works if the people are armed and familiar with their arms, they ensured the right to keep and bear arms could not be infringed. Following the logic of the framers, and perhaps the Court in Miller, every 17-year-old should be familiar with and perhaps own the weapons that would be assigned to them in the event they were called up and organized into an armed force. That means AR-15s or that new Sig rifle, the Sig P320, and maybe the M203, M249/Minimi, etc. That's what we would do if we took the "well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state" part seriously.

But it's just a prefatory clause and the operative part is "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" so militias don't matter.

The thing about guns is that they represent real equality. Think about this. Behind the barrel of a gun every man woman and child can be equally powerful. It’s that kind of thinking that makes them so dangerous, not necessarily the weapon itself. A spear although simple requires skill to be wielded proficiently enough to make it a sufficiently deadly weapon as does the bow which came after it. However it was the crossbow much like the gun which began to make that particular skill set all the less necessary. And now of course we have our guns, descended from the Chinese fire lance and perhaps the most flawless weapon to have ever been crafted.

It is without a doubt the perfect instrument of death and the great equalizer between men and yet we must remember that it was man who crafted it. The gun cannot fire itself, a finger must pull the trigger. So with that said I suppose I can see the argument that guns make these mass murders much more accessible but on the other hand I agree that if people really want to do it taking away their guns won’t stop them. I believe it is a problem with no real solution.

The main takeaway from this is what we should arm the children.

Warm up the Chinook for that fat piece of shit, Kwang Hui.

How can anyone with a functioning brain say such things? How can anyone with a functioning brain even think others will believe what she says and sympathize with her and her murdering spawn? If I was her I would leave Uvalde immediately, for my own sake.

If my child became a mass murderer, I honestly would probably off myself. I would feel like such a failure of a parent.
At the very least, I'd rather he not do it at a God damn elementary school of all things.
