Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Is that when your Amazon order comes in?

I just realized something about John's "passion" for pinball -- it's all on based on movies/shows
Yes, it's a huge part of modern pins, but a lot of the modern classics and currents aren't and John doesn't ever talk about those
It's another pop culture totem for him - I think he went pins b/c they are prohibitively expensive for most (at least people who are practicing sound fincancial practice) so he can be queen bee just by throwing Frank's cash at it.

John would run into a hail of gunfire and take down heavily-armed murderers with nothing but his wits and his fists, just like what happens in his favourite superhero TV shows.

WTF!>!
John would burst in and, towering over the shaking gunman, use his wendigo powers to block him on twitter.

He's absolutely sure he'd stop it....

sneaking into the elementary school, john stays low and makes his way to the non-existant chemistry lab and wood shop where he MacGyves a "single bolt" rifle and drops the gunman from 200 yards just like he did with deer in miss'ippi and womprats back on tatooine.
wanting no thanks (except a pinball machine made in his new superhero image) john speeds away stopping only to turn in a 3 minute mile on the schools running track

John let a little of his sociopathy slip there
"I don't even like kids, and I'm certain i would do it"
for a normally adjusted psyche, the question of 'like' wouldn't enter into the decision - it just isn't a thing

at least a horrible racist might have the rationale of "they" don't have human worth or are an existential threat. But John John just doesn't care for them and it's even a transitory thing (they grow up)
"Oh that guy was drowning, but OTOH he gets kind of arrogant when he wins at pinball - which is a lot - so I had to factor that in"

Meanwhile, "Solo", a film with a white male lead is one of the least popular SW films, and The Mandalorian - with a diverse cast like Giancarlo Esposito, Temura Morrison, Ming-Na Wen, Pedro Pascal, and Rosario Dawson and was directed by various woman and POC - is one of the most popular Star Wars spin offs.

Once again, John talks like he's an expert when he knows JACK SHIT. I'm not into Star Wars and even I knew more than he does.

Wu would have totally ran in there. Well, not run as we know it.

She would have summoned a blizzard, moved through the flakes, appeared in a dark corner, and sucked the soul out of the gunman before stealing the children's body heat and vanishing into the darkness.

So, believe her when she says she'd have run in there.

Adding onto John not knowing anything, at an admittedly quick glance, the initial reviews, both critical and audience, seem overwhelmingly positive. Literally, the first result I got when I put in Obi-wan review is "Possibly the Best Star Wars Series Yet." And, to the surprise of nobody, all the images are of Obi-wan, who I assume is the main character because, y'know, name of the show and all, so not sure where the hatred of a black driven show comes from. As someone who hasn't seen the episode(s) but did get bombarded with ads for it the last few days, I think there's maybe one scene with a black character?

And as far as Last Jedi goes, yeah, a fair amount of people disliked it. But I think Rise of Skywalker is more universally panned. And even with Awakens, a lot of people who didn't like the trilogy tend to highlight Finn as being the best part, or at least having a lot of potential.

I'm sure there are some Starwars fans that dislike Obi-wan because no show pleases everyone, but I wouldn't be surprised if John did hear any complaints, it was probably generic ones from people who are burnt out on Star Wars/got annoyed with the ad blitz but haven't seen the show.
