I feel like Ralph showing up to Gym's house is more likely than you're all giving it credit. I think Ralph genuinely hates Jim, more than his normal seething piggy hate. In his eyes, Jim laughing at him is the sole fault for all that's happened. Jim betrayed him and now he's getting a-logged left, right and center. Gator left because of Jim. He's been repeatedly humiliated because of the cancer patient who he thought was his e-friend. I think he's willing to do a lot more to get back at Jim than the others, and he sees this as a way to take away Jim's anonymity. I think you are actually right, why else would he bring up Jim in the conversation with Keemstar and Warski even though Jim was in no way involved?

There is some kind of mental block in Ralphs mind that causes him to become retarded and emotional, and somehow Jim is always brought up. It has to be related to some type of daddy issues or something, but we would likely need a team of psychologists to even begin to decipher Ralphs's psyche.

Ralph is the ultimate rage pig and nothing makes him holler harder than Jim in recently. I think he might actually be willing to give up everything just for the chance to record him IRL.

It's probably extremely frustrating for Ethan who usually gets his ralphamale personal army to dox/harass/intimidate his enemies to still be stonewalled and left with a careless Jim that's still laughing at him for his constant fuckups. Aside from some groypers who join his cause because Jim laughs at Nick really no progress has been made on that front. Either most of his audience still thinks higher of Jim than him, or they agree that Ethan is barking up the wrong tree since Jim is literally doing nothing but laughing at Ethan fucking up. He was probably truly devastated that Jim told him they aren't friends. Jim was more than Gunt's internet Dad. Jim was the cool kid. Jim was the cool kid who made a loser like Gunt popular. Jim gave Ralph a taste of what he always wanted. Jim made him money. Jim is one of the few people in Gunt's entire selfish life he actually cared about. I would not be surprised to find out that Ralph put a lot of hope into Jim reviving his dying career and reliving the glory days.

Ralph is emotionally stunted and has a massive ego along with a victim complex. I'm not going to fag off in trying to armchair diagnose him. It's clear that he has a very warped view of himself, the world around him, and he cannot healthily process his experiences, probably for a host of reasons. His emotional immaturity is magnified by his substance abuse. He can't regulate himself.

Jim hurt Gunt in a way few people could because Ralph cared about him on more than a superficial level. Jim abandoned him and Gunt was no longer in the cool clique. He wasn't making money anymore, but he could still joke around with his old pal and remember better days. He could hope for new ones to come even as he spiraled downward. Then Jim betrayed him and not only destroyed hope for the future, but ruined Ralph's memories of the past. Gunt's fragile ego was absolutely nuked from orbit by Jim and he can't see a way forward.

Ralph might also be too much of a drug addled fat baby to understand any of this and just runs purely off of emotion.

If we're going to ignore the whole internet daddy thing (which I genuinely believe is a big part of his motive), I've always seen it like this: If we're going to use his Wigger wrestling terminology, Ralph thinks he's a heel, he's a petty manchild driven entirely by spite and pride. He thinks going after a pretty popular and arguably well liked personality in this sphere will give him clout and notoriety. While I'm not an expert, I can't think of a time Jim has publicly humiliated himself or done something monumentally retarded, Ralph thinks if he can drag Jim into enough of these shitfits, people will turn on him as well and he'll embarrass himself so Ralph can get his boulder moment again and climb back to success.
