Johnny boy can only do Depth of Field on DX11 because he's not willing to go beyond the limits of UE3 and actually take a look at the source code of the engine, DoF is possible on DX9 with enough trickery, but Flynt is too lazy to do that and only uses the tools that are given to him in a platter.

I think if she were willing to admit it she could approach her women in STEM stuff from a "here's how I was treated as a guy and here's how I'm treated now" angle which could actually be kind of interesting (although I'm pretty sure in both cases everyone just treated her like she was full of shit because being a deranged tool transcends gender).

But that would mean admitting that trans women spend most of their lives as guys and therefore aren't exactly the same as cis women, and the social justice types always throw a fit over that, so she would probably get called out for transmisogyny or being truscum or something and lose crucial patreonbux if she did that. There is literally no way to please more than a fraction of them at a time and the whole group will throw you under the bus the second you go out of style.

I don't totally blame her for avoiding it. However her time in the spotlight is dying, the time to come out would have been at that gay gamer conf during her trans panel and then to release the game a few weeks later. Anyone who pointed out that her narrative was entirely dependent on being raised a woman could just have their words twisted and the SJW mob sicced on them until everyone learned to STFU and do what she says.

It wouldn't work forever but neither will her current path.

I work in tech. I don't particularly ever believe the phrase, "Can't be done."

A large chunk of most CS programs is intended to give you a good idea what can't be done. I suppose most of it falls under "way too hard don't even bother unless you have a PhD" a lot of the CS PhD work is incomprehensible even to other mathematicians because new subject matter for a thesis gets esoteric very quickly.

Much of Heinlein's content is highly problematic in the SJW sense or even just a normal political sense. For instance, Farnham's Freehold is an unabashed paean to fascism. It's also a fun read. There's also Starship Stormtroopers, mockingly called Starship Stormtroopers by some for a similar bent, although the movie turned it into a parody of itself.

I'd be surprised she didn't take more flak from SJWs for endorsing such a writer if I didn't remember that most of these imbeciles don't remember past last Thursday, much less back to Heinlein.

Heinlein tends to get something of a 'pass' in science fiction crowds. Not because he didn't have the politics he did (which is often called out, in fact), but because the guy created a fair chunk of modern SF tropes with Asimov and Clarke.

There's also the fact actually expecting SJWs to read something that isn't a shitty young adult novel is silly. Much less reading pre-New Wave sci-fi.
