Pride Month

There are women I know IRL with a dodgy bit of DNA code that makes their periods come one day late - they are totally fertile and have conceived children - and yet wave the big intersex flag like they're a God Damned Clownfish Hermaphrodite
No period is ever on-time even for normal healthy women, they simply occur around a time frame and people make the best educated guess they can. Periods are affected by many factors, such as stress, diet, hormonal fluctuations, medications, sleep, etc.
The purpose of the rainbow flag was to encompass everything. All orientations. All gender identies. It's the entire point of it being a rainbow.
How is that not inclusive enough?
Agreed. There is no also such thing as the color brown, it's just a really dark orange. They've technically added orange twice.

I think the people designing this shit miss the point of flags. For the most part the simpler the design, tied in with the simpler meaning, makes a more effective ensign. We're seeing the debate in Australia where you get these idiots wanting to push forward over designed crap that is meant to represent a million and a half things, and it is all shit. For example:
stupidaussieflagdesign.png

-The border is meant to represent multiculturalism (african design aparently)
-the sun is meant to reprisent the Anzacs (stolen from Army's rising sun)
-rising sun over red is mean to represent Aboriginals
-blue is an homage to original flag
-Southern Cross is a common feature for Australia and South pacific nations
-7 pointed star represents each state and the territories
-the green around the star is meant to represent green and gold, colors of the national flower the wattle
-Currently discussion was they feel they need to add more to represent LGBTQ+

It is fucking awful and is an autistic mishmash of messages that is trying to represent everyone whilst acknowledging everyone seperately (a contradictory message)

Compare to the Eureka flag, my personal choice:
eurekaflag.jpg

This was the flag designed for an event called the Eureka Stockade, where gold miners who protested British taxation and lack of representation of Non-English Australians (may sound a familiar cause). It was a protest of tax and a demand for democratic representation of native Australians in governance of the colony. It was led partly by Californians inspired by the American revolution, and the protest included Aussies, Americans, African Americans, Canadians, Chinese, Cornish, Irish, Welsh, Aboriginals and South Sea Islanders who were sick of British taxation. They got there arses kicked in the protest by the British, and a lot either got killed, deported or imprisoned. but outrage over the event led to federation in 1901 where Australia became a self-governing country as part of the commonwealth which wouldn't have happened if the Eureka Stockade didn't take place (we still need to become a Republic because we still have a bogan aristocracy who like to think they're British peers).

The design of the flag was from a Canadian, who made a stylized Southern Cross that was easily recognizable, that was based partly on the St Andrews cross of Scotland in protest of the Union Jack. The Southern Cross represented Australians (regardless of ethnicity) and the color and design was based on a firm rejection of the Union Jack. The Prussian blue also represented the color of clothes worn by most gold miners in Australia at the time. It is very much a fuck you to the old English acting as lords, we want a democracy. It is easily recognized, represented everyone at the protest. It has a clear meaning, and is a relatively simple design.

Fucking pride flags are the worst offendors when it comes to over design. The rainbow flag has a meaning, it is a simple meaning, and it is easily recognized. Redesigning it to make it about you, your current political cause, and to include things that have nothing to do with the LGBTQ+ community (like Black Lives Matter or the Ukraine) is an offence on both messaging and aesthetic driven purely by virtue signalling narcissism.

I don't know why but shitty flag designs are one thing that genuinely makes me MATI. It irks my particular brand of autism immensely.

Edit: On rereading what I wrote there were errors that bothered me so I went back and fixed them. My flag autism sometimes manifests as grammar autism

I find it very depressing that pride and other identity issues are so associated with “leftism” in the United States.

Most of these “leftists” don’t really give a shit about the working class or socialism as an economic model that would tangibly improve people’s lives.

They hog up all the energy and make what should be class-centered projects about them and their identities instead.

Being gay or trans is not a fucking threat to capitalism.

I argued with a trans person once in a leftist forum who literally said something along the lines of “communism is about me getting to live my best life!”

No, it is about removing the bourgeoisie elite from power and guaranteeing the well-being of the working class. It has nothing to do with your identity.

Ultimately, pride has been embraced by the capitalist class because it distracts people from focusing on the class war they are actually waging on American workers.

Most of these people are liberals, which is a right-wing capitalist ideology.

It’s very tiring to try to do any socialist organizing in this country when the most prominent organizations are run by identity-obsessed shitlibs.

This is something I hope you will think about when referring to these people as “leftists.”

And hey, if you don’t want socialism in the USA, they are ultimately doing you a service.

Pic related. Corpos embrace pride for a reason.

nigga,
read Kaczynski...
or the thread...
or both.

Virtue-signaling so strong, it's visible from Earth orbit.

EDIT: Seriously, though -- is anyone really surprised? Those added chevrons on the flag don't symbolize sexual identities; the black and brown represent skin pigmentation, and the blue/pink/white stands for mental illness. Might as well throw the national colors of the Oppressed People of the Month into the mix.

I think it'd be better if you Australians kept the union jack to keep upsetting communists with colonial imagery.

It's #PRIDE month! As we celebrate the increased visibility of the LGBTU+ community, we're reminded that Pride is also a protest, born from the #Stonewall riots. We honor the Black queer, trans, and Ukrainian people whose bravery gave us the freedom to live as our most authentic selves!

I disagree, strongly. As much as I dislike campus champagne commies, they'll never fuck Australia as hard or as much as the British have. Especially considering that the Brits handed over a 3rd of our military to the Japanese in Singapore in order to get British soldiers home safe whilst trying to keep Aussie soldiers in Europe fighting Germany. They left Australia wide open to being invaded by the Imperial Japanese army, who's war atrocities in WW2 make the Germans and Russians seem tame in comparison but for some reason nobody ever talks about it.

Honestly god bless America, FDR and General MacArthur because they are the only reason we didn't fall and it was only through intervention of FDR and MacArthur that Churchill conceded and let soldiers go home to defend it. The second Britain forfeited our sons and daughters to be tortured and raped by the worst force towards civilians in the countries they occupied in WW2 was the second it should have forfeited any right to representation on any Australian symbolism, or any influence on government. Unfortunately as previously stated we have a bogan aristocracy that for some reason is sycophantic to a country that despises us and cut us dry. Americans may despise us, but at least they've never cut us dry.
