Fatty Arbuckle was accused of things that at this point are almost certainly untrue and we're eventually accepted as untrue back in the day and he was still toxic to audiences, and he was as big as Marlon Brando at his peak. His career never recovered because there was no market for him.

Heard is toxic now, and not even remotely as big as either of those guys. The threshold for not hiring her is far lower, because even if she was untainted she doesn't make people enough money to justify anything.

I'm actually glad to see this case lean in favor of Depp because it's incredibly obvious to anyone who even skimmed a basic summary of the trial that while neither of them is perfect, Amber came out as a far more abusive person by a huge margin.

If I may slightly powerlevel, the case brings parallels to a male relative of mine who was in an extremely abusive relationship. Without going too deep into it, she was a pleasant person in public but as soon as it was just the two of them in private, she would physically assault him, and said relative would refuse to report it. When I became aware of what was going on and asked why he hadn't reported any of this, he claimed that "nobody would believe him".

And the worst part? He was right. The next day, they had a slight disagreement at a store, resulting in her losing her temper and violently assaulting him in public. Despite the fact that there were multiple eyewitnesses, he had a prominent black eye from being hit in the face, and the entire assault was caught on a security camera (that shows without any doubt she instigated the entire thing and he never swung at her once), she would go on to tell an intervening police officer that he beat her daily and that's why she suddenly had to beat the shit out of him in public. And the police actually gave this guy a verbal warning and let her off the hook. To say me and everyone else in my family was MATI over this was putting it lightly.

It's hard to describe the rage you feel when someone you care about is being targeted and there's literally nothing you can do about it. Nobody with any authority will take you seriously solely because the aggressor is a woman beating a man. Nobody would believe him, nobody would help, and when he tried to get help, he was basically laughed at. And I fucking guarantee you that if he would have fought back at any point, he would have immediately been labeled as the aggressor.

Anyways I guess my point with all this is fuck Amber, I'm glad to see an abusive shit finally being held accountable for once.

I wonder how Amber's exes and former assistants feel about that lame muh misogyny statement. You know, all the women she physically and/or verbally abused. All of those women who didn't receive mountains of support. All of those abused women who were abused by Amber, the same Amber who thinks you should believe female victims except for the women that she abuses.
