People who subscribe to internet fashion are living their best lives. Custom masks, hide their ugly manjaws if they're troons trying to pass, AND get backpats for being so considerate?

It's absolutely astonishing how much COVID rules some of these people's lives. Also, I should point out that in addition to requiring masks, CB also required a negative test 72 hours before and vax proof. Also, hilarious thing. Apparently actual security was super lax.
Yeah. Exactly. It doesn't help that our country has become more and more divided thanks to our grandpa-in-chief and his dwindling approval rating either. The FGC is run by a bunch of leftist freaks these days.
It really is. The worst part is that I'm pretty sure that almost all of these guys are doing it because they legitimately believe it.
Look at this fucking faggot tree. Why the fuck do I need to check out ELEVEN different stream channels just to watch a bunch of tourneyfags? Why the fuck are they so cluttered to where you have multiple games running on the same time frame?

This is what happens when you try to run 20 different games as official events with everything after pools being streamed for all of them. You've gotta remember that CB is like the second biggest FG event of the year after EVO, and is going for a feel a lot closer to a more typical "bring your own setup and you can run it" feel of a smaller local event.

People who attended also caught COVID anyways. Fat lot of good the maskjannies did. Hope they're proud of themselves!

On the security:
A single instance where someone complained that a security staffer didn't check someone's bag. What exactly happened? A security staffer recognized a guy who left coming back into the event and let him in without opening up his backpack and doing a full security scan. Pretty nice of the security, right? WELL THE FUCKING GUY WHO DIDN'T GET CHECKED COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SECURITY, TOO. Now, Rick said he won't be hiring the same people again. Likely next year there will be armed embankments full of staff checking everyone's asshole for antivaxxer propaganda at every entrance to fully protect the event and make it super-duper safe.

REMINDER: DID YOU THANK A HERO SECURITY OFFICER FOR HIS SERVICE TODAY?

This is what happens when games get run, I guess. When I just want to watch the big games, it's pretty inconvenient to have to pop back and forth between 2 to 4 streams any given time that weekend. But, having the ability or option to watch something else, or see a Friday/Saturday top 8 for a game I like, is nice.

Instead of several different, small streams, I'd rather have EVO2k 1-7, but at least Twitch makes finding the games fairly hassle free, even without a paper print map of who-is-who in running sub-400 person streaming.

Last happening with Infiltration was that Ernesto Lopez from Button Check stated that Infiltration wouldn't do an interview with him.

Infiltration has now done an interview with Ernesto. This is the first time Infiltration has publicly spoke on the events since immediately after his bannings occurred, outside of one of his own streams.
1) Infiltration's recording of the interview
2) Button Check's edit of the interview

I haven't watched either yet, so no full write up.

EDIT:
Dare to compare:
Ernesto addressing his statements about Infiltration not doing an interview, from the edited video
The unedited version of Ernesto apologizing about his last video about Infiltration

This is how a sleazebag takes an opportunity, and tries to work his mark into being more agreeable. You're like a real journalist now, Button Check guy!

Honestly, looking at it some more now, the biggest problem I have with it is that all the big games got moved from wherever they were to Team Spooky for Top 8 which is pretty wack. Like, FunkyP had been Strive all weekend, and then Team Spooky got Top 8? But I guess that's what happens when you have enough clout.

Makes me wish Esports and the FGC didn't become so corporate and mainstream. Don't want to sound like that guy, but it was better and simple back in the 2000s when we didn't have to appeal to this woke bullshit and talk mad shit or be "toxic" without offending someone.
If anything, the state of these ESports and FGC events being “woke” and too mainstream make older fans of vintage fighting games look at them as just spineless, sensitive basketcases. It’s an unpopular opinion, but it eventually was going to go corporate.

The problem is that the new generation of fighting games are appealing to the non-gamers who, ironically enough, would be afraid to get in a boxing ring to show off their fighting skills.

Instead, they let YouTubers do it for their viewing pleasure.

It was way better back in the day. Having random dudes hop on the mic to shit talk about anyone and everyone who played, the beefs that could end in fist fights, and the general chaos of the old tournaments made it feel a lot more real. It feels like nothing interesting happens anymore and everyone is too afraid to hurt their wallets to have a good time. Its kind of crazy how fast it went from a bunch of dudes in an arcade in the ghetto streaming for like 50 people to full blown Esports.

Thoughts?

I think they were forced into making SF6 sheerly due to the reputation that SF5 carries. What is a new iteration going to bring that we don't already have? It looks the exact same as SF5 graphically.

In an ideal world with so little new to offer we would continue getting SF5 seasons but that ship has long since sailed.

It looks better than SF5 looked on its reveal, but that bar is very low. I'm expecting that open world stuff to be filled with microtransactions and esports stuff.

I'm not excited but I hope at least the online is good.

Edit: Just saw the other designs on 4chan, lmao

Every single one of those characters at the top look like they belong in a completely different game (Final Fantasy comes to mind, especially that woman on the right with the claws).

Also I'm not a fan of the clothes in general. It's all too busy.

EDIT: P.S. Fuck You Capcom

i know jackshit of fighting games, but cammy losing her iconic leotard is pretty meh.
And Capcom knows this and will sell them back to everyone as classic costumes. Even if pic related is just because they are testing using Cammy's old model this means they can just slap it back into 6 and charge 1.99.

On a similar note I'd expect them to wait until DLC to start putting coom baitcharacters in the game.
I'm cautiously optimistic, depending on how the system mechanics end up being and how quickly the ex meter recharges.

I know companies intentionally leak but leaking this much seems retarded, especially when the game is two years away still.

Edit:
Yep I was on the money.
