It's absolutely astonishing how much COVID rules some of these people's lives. Also, I should point out that in addition to requiring masks, CB also required a negative test 72 hours before and vax proof. Also, hilarious thing. Apparently actual security was super lax.
People who attended also caught COVID anyways. Fat lot of good the maskjannies did. Hope they're proud of themselves!
On the security:
A single instance where someone complained that a security staffer didn't check someone's bag. What exactly happened? A security staffer recognized a guy who left coming back into the event and let him in without opening up his backpack and doing a full security scan. Pretty nice of the security, right? WELL
THE FUCKING GUY WHO DIDN'T GET CHECKED COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SECURITY, TOO. Now, Rick said he won't be hiring the same people again. Likely next year there will be armed embankments full of staff checking everyone's asshole for antivaxxer propaganda at every entrance to fully protect the event and make it super-duper safe.
REMINDER: DID YOU THANK A HERO SECURITY OFFICER FOR HIS SERVICE TODAY?
This is what happens when you try to run 20 different games as official events with everything after pools being streamed for all of them. You've gotta remember that CB is like the second biggest FG event of the year after EVO, and is going for a feel a lot closer to a more typical "bring your own setup and you can run it" feel of a smaller local event.
This is what happens when games get run, I guess. When I just want to watch the big games, it's pretty inconvenient to have to pop back and forth between 2 to 4 streams any given time that weekend. But, having the ability or option to watch something else, or see a Friday/Saturday top 8 for a game I like, is nice.
Instead of several different, small streams, I'd rather have EVO2k 1-7, but at least Twitch makes finding the games fairly hassle free, even without a paper print map of who-is-who in running sub-400 person streaming.
Last happening with Infiltration was that
Ernesto Lopez from Button Check stated that Infiltration wouldn't do an interview with him.
Infiltration has now done an interview with Ernesto. This is
the first time Infiltration has publicly spoke on the events since immediately after his bannings occurred, outside of one of his own streams.
1) Infiltration's recording of the interview
2) Button Check's edit of the interview
I haven't watched either yet, so no full write up.
EDIT:
Dare to compare:
Ernesto addressing his statements about Infiltration not doing an interview,
from the edited video
The
unedited version of Ernesto apologizing about his last video about Infiltration
This is how a sleazebag takes an opportunity, and tries to work his mark into being more agreeable. You're like a real journalist now, Button Check guy!
