When I first heard about IP2 and people like Baked Alaska, my reaction was "this seems like Jackass but for Internet people."

When I first heard about IP2 and people like Baked Alaska, my reaction was "this seems like Jackass but for Internet people." Considering the trajectory Bam went down after the main production petered out, I think that's an even more apt comparison. If they filmed them even more frequently like the IRL streamers do, it would probably look really similar.

A lot of jackasses came from the skating scene and had some great talents. Bam was an already kind of famous skater with sponsors, steve-o was a circus artist and stuntman.
IP2s are losers from the beginning. Andy dick was maybe the only talented person (a long time ago...) who was in IP2, go figure.

More concerned about the cast on his arm, although his movement shows it can't be anything too bad. 1 year rehab pretty much gets thrown down the drain as soon as the opiates get prescribed.

Edit: Broken elbow/wrist? News to me if you can still grip you fingers after an injury like that.

Maaaaaaan, he /is/ outside BUT his pupils are pretty fuckin tiny which is always a sign of being high as fuck on opiates..
I just ran into his thread, had no idea he was doing so poorly. Pretty sad. I hope I'm wrong, but as a former junkie, those tiny pupils look pretty familiar.. plus, at least IME, using/abusing opiates(especially long term) makes you have an extremely LOW pain tolerance because you're used to being numb. Even when you get clean, shit that most people would brush off, makes you wanna cry and beg for pain killers.. but, everyone's different. I hope my guesses are way off and he's doing well and sober, especially for his kids sake.

Steve-o wasn't successful as a clown or stuntman though lol. He was getting fired from gigs left and right before Jackass happened.

Also, I will say that Steve-O's journey took a LONG time. Novak's took a long time. There is never ever ever no hope for someone.

I watched Jackass 4.5 last week, honestly think it was better than Jackass Forever a major reason being I loved how it gave you far more insight to the production work of Jackass.

I wish Dickhouse would give more behind the scenes detail on how the magic happens. I take it before any major stunt happens insurance and credentialed medical professionals have to approve the stunt for being safe enough for the performers to do. I would love to have to heard a urologist explain that flattening a man's dick to near paper like consistency will have no medical damage assuming it's for a limited period of time.

To be back more on subject a tiny detail that was shown on Viva La Bam that I remember was when they showed Phil going thru Bam's insurance paperwork. Thing was the size of a Bible.

Bam had an emo skater pop-punk vibe going when those were basically all of THE big things. He was just in the right place at the right time for who he was and MTV couldn't have stopped girls from wanting him if they tried. Being considered cool and having the right look goes a LOT farther with girls than guys.
