Credit where it's due the animation is trying to be like a mix of the old 1950's Ec comic art this series was originally based on with the color pallate of Tim Jacobus's goosebumps covers Which I'm pretty sure the popularity of those books is why this spinoff got green lit at all. also outside the original 50 comics this is the only apperance of all 3 of the orignal EC horror hosts; The crypt keeper, the vault keeper, and the old witch collectivley known as the Goulunatics.

Also that really is John Kasier who not only voiced the Crypt keeper in the adult version of the show on HBO, but was also the last guy to voice buster bunny (he had a few other VAs prior to Kaiser taking over the role for the remainder of the show plus the specials they made up till night ghoulery in 95)

I'm amazed the whole ep is up on YouTube without a copyright claim. Also that's Charlie Adler aka the red guy aka @Mariposa Electrique 's old pfp as Smokey's VA! And Jim Cummings himself as the judge! Also how is it the final episode of Tales from the crypt managed to be a better adult ren and stimpy than the actual adult ren and stimpy that got made five or so years later?

These are the "Good" moments from that train wreck btw.

Because John K. was allowed to do whatever the hell he wanted and chose to overindulge himself, as always. He blew the money for the whole series on the first three episodes, somehow got more money for the rest, and even that wasn't enough!

(It's a shame that the Ren and Stimpy documentary didn't focus on that at all... the production of APC would have made a fascinating documentary in the style of Overnight.)

Pat Ventura, at least, knew what he was trying to do.

Update about tribbleofdoom's my pride series. Basically, it's dead. They can't fund the project anymore and nobody wants to take it (probably because it sucks).

Idk if the receipts exist anymore and unfortunately I can't find any evidence anymore about what happened behind the scenes, but I know I saw them and I know they exist somewhere in the aether, but this show had so much drama and controversy surrounding its creation from tribble being a complete manipulative cunt, to misappropriation of funds for personal needs (a $5000 wacom tablet that's the size of a computer desk) causing the canadian government to pull their funding, people were fired from the project for seemingly no reason, there's like one or two characters that got abruptly killed off because the voice actors for them quit out of rage. It's a lot of drama, but I unfortunately for whatever reason cannot find the receipts anymore.

If you can't take the heat stay outta go back to the kitchen....actually scratch that she look like she can't cook so much as a spaghetti dinner. Helluva way to kick of Pride month but hey as the good book says "Pride cometh before the fall."

In other news was surprised to see none of nickelodeon's YouTube channels have plastered a rainbow over their logo or brought that..thing nina west back for anything new. (yet) Same for cartoon network surprisingly, but it's all just a matter of time.


Lastly because I've got nothing else to say enjoy this compiliation of nick commercials from June back when it was just another month and the only thing the masses were hyped for it were the kids ready for summer to start.

I am legit curious about the idea that Beavis and butthead will be trapped in current year, I doubt even mike judge will question how much has changed since 92 and 2022 though most of it might just be lip service on par with what we saw in static cling.

Really that's what this idea reminds me of the most and I really hope if that IS the route they go they do it better than static cling. Static Cling is another can of worms in and of itself but its biggest drawback imo was it barley touched on the fish out of water element. Like barley paid it lip service and the best part was the SDCC trailer. Well either way 21 days to go hopefully it'll be something good to come out of the month of June.

And the biggest joke is how Hunter is the best written and the most interesting character who had better development in three episodes than the entire main cast in two seasons. And he's just a normal boy, not gay/trans/autistic or anything... The irony.

Oh also Aliens almost got a cartoon at one point. But ut never happen for obvious reasons. But it makes me wonder what it would have been like.

Fuck My Pride. It was just another thinly-veiled excuse to screech STRAIGHT MEN BAD!!!111 through cartoon lions. Good riddance.
