Plagued /r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

If you're looking for some good (and challenging) Ireland content, Ireland Expanded is a fantastic mod. It's fucking brutal to play as them as anything other than Britain's bitch since they're so small. Try out the path where you take over the British Empire, either with Edward or as a Fascist. It's basically ultra-hardcore-mode.
 
Holy shit I'm glad there's a huge thread on this subject. There will always be people who are more annoying or destructive than the rest in any community, but when it comes to the Hoi4 community rejects, Id get in a 2x speed game for 7 hours with an obnoxious Kaiserrich fan rather than a bad TNO one.

How about HOI 3 and HPP mod as Communist China, or Spain?
I never understood why HOI 4 was "good". But then again I fall in the same rtalin consuming group of Factorio (tm) players so....

I wasn't that into paradox games when HoI3 was a thing. But since people were talking about some of the unloved nations in TNO I figured I'd give some thoughts on a mod (for the base game) that gives Ireland the love it deserves.

There used to even be a Brazil mod I liked, but it's been out of date for too long. The only one that's kept up lately for South America is the Argentina mod.

HPP is nice but needs a bit of randomization. That's an issue with HOI3 is not having generals/ministers being generated like Vic II.

I really liked the Brazilian election mechanic. The election mechanics in all the countries other than Brazil are insane trainwrecks purely relying on text and RNG.
Then again, Brazil wasn't made by the core TNO team at the time, but the CSS submod team, which was integrated into TNO.

It doesn't really matter because nothing gets done anyway. Haven't they been hemorrhaging modders since the initial release?
