Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

Straight men bad... and yet a lesbian completely annihilated an entire civilization and betrayed her betrothed's trust and as a direct consequence of her actions, several people died as a result. And all she can say for herself, and this is unironically my favorite line in the entire show, is "I did what I had to to be happy!" It's almost poetic in a fucked up way, but she's supposed to look sympathetic here so the irony is just so fucking funny to me.

Also "Nothing" is a little bitch and the worst feminist icon ever written to me.
All of this is from a shitty Lion King knockoff, wtf??

This show brings me back. It was when Nickelodeon tried to pull a teenage version of [adult swim] and put it on Noggin’s The N Block.

It was also the only time you’ll ever see H. Jon Benjamin and Patrice O’Neal do voice work with one another.
Wow, I thought I was the only person who remembered that show. That's the show that takes place in a town were everyone randomly get superpowers once an episode.

To think that until that reboot comes out the last we ever saw of ren and stimpy was them taking care of a baby made out of shit.

Maybe it's just me but I do always tend to wax nostalgic in the summer. Swhy I've been posting Vids of the commercial blocks for Nick in the summer throughout that decade. Anyways here's a random cartoon for you to enjoy.

Nice of Joe to have been alive for this. Fred's voice was played by Henry Cordon, the last for him I believe.

EDIT: I'm adding this hear to avoid double posting..little slow for a summer friday isn't it? put that's what happens when registration is closed due to newfags being fags 🚬

This was recommended to me on youtube. The more things change the more they stay the same huh? Crazed stalker fanboys who wanna bang cartoons have been a thing as far back as the internet's salad days. Leave it to some fat creepy perv to kill off a great show like tiny toons eh? 🚬

Holy fuck where is this Dennis Falk guy now? he's like the precursor to every fanboy lolcow we mock to this very day.
Excuse me, if this a dumb question one thing I’ve always wondered is is why do cute characters sometimes attract ugly, degenerate people?

In other news, Disney has released a sneak peek for their new cartoon, Hamster & Gretel, from one of the creators of Phineas and Ferb

I’m somewhat amused by the butthurt this, Big City Greens, and Molly McGee caused among lorefags on the internet. People seriously think the end of Owl House is the end of serious story telling period. Personally, it looks a little bland but maybe it’ll end up better than it looks.
I think someone traced him to some furry IRC. Either that or he's dead.
Upon doing some Google fu, he's apparently still alive somehow and goes by dmfalk, still active on the internet. It’s like discovering a coelacanth; a piece of history that’s still living among us.

If he was dead, then the person who made that video wouldn’t have been able to talk to him.

🤯
Maybe he's a haint. :woo:

Did freaks and geeks like Dennis Falk kill Tiny Toons? They couldn't have helped. But like the video says the show got almost a hundred episodes and a bunch of specials. More than Animaniacs. It sounds less like it was abandoned and more like, as the vid also says, it ran its course and everyone moved onto other things.

This.. just came out, it’s seriously got to be the laziest and most pathetic excuse for an animated spinoff ever, no hyperbole. There was no reason for this to be made in any way other than proving AMC other than there two king shows are devoid of any content. It’s not even sad, it’s just mind spinningly pointless.

That's basically the case. They were moving on to Animaniacs at the time.

“Serious storytelling”?

These people must really have low standards if the Owl House is what they consider, ‘serious storytelling’.

yeah they were but it certainly didn't help that the first generation of degenerate fanboys had crawled out the woodwork to openly express their desire to tie cartoon minks and skunks up and fuck them silly didn't help thing much.

It looks fine, but forgettable.

Dan Provenmire has been coasting hard on P&Fs popularity for years now. Even his last show basically just succumbed to being P&F 2.0, literally, as Doof and Perry took it over. Personally, never got the hype for P&F, it was always that middling show that you could watch when nothing was on, but would never choose to watch over other series. It was as formulaic as Scooby Doo, but without the random wtf jokes that Scoob would occasionally sprinkle in to keep it funny. Doof basically carried the show with his occasional funny lines, but in all honesty, the show was fairly forgettable. Otherwise, who would watch P&F over Chowder, Flapjack, TDI, AT, Regular Show, or Gumball which were all there during its run? This will probably end up like Milo Murphy were no one gives a shit about it till the P&F characters make cameos.

As I am plowing through this thread: if you are posting something cool that is on Youtube, please include the name somewhere!
They keep getting deleted, and a lot of posts amounted to "look at this" without any possibility of knowing what it is that was there once (and "a pilot aired on Adult Swim in 2003" would not google for whichever reason...) :(

New teaser trailer for Disney’s Strange World
https://youtu.be/P70Uuh1RcMQ
It’s certainly different; it’s going for a more action adventure route like Atlantis or Treasure Planet and the facial molds have more variety, following the trend started with Raya. Most of the effort was definitely places on the creature and environment designs though.

Rather late to the affair but finally up to date on Owl House (annoyed sigh) and Amphibia. Quite enjoyed Amphibia's ending, last episode was rushed as all hell, which given they have a double length penultimate and regular length finale is not too surprising. Still more or less stuck the landing for the show considering how many turn to pure shit and I give them a genuine bit of credit for actually not having even a hint that there would ever be any sort of reunion between the Amphibia world and the human one.

Something of an eye-roll that Marcy, the alleged genius who would go on to change the world, ended up just doing a webcomic. Let me guess, one of the writers got their start that way?

All in all though pretty good. I'll happily rewatch that thing despite a third season with some issues.

Owl House has already had its mocking but I was particularly amused by the fact that it's ending just like Gravity Falls, some eldritch entity fucking with the setting while a rag tag group try to stop it.

Now to consume the shit sandwich that is Young Justice season 4.
