The WB guys definitely had contact with the online fandom. You might consider the Please Please Please Get a Life Foundation sketch, which starts off with a nerd reeling off facts about the show taken from a list found on Usenet.

They were uncomfortably aware of the online fandom, with Tiny Toons being one of the first major properties with an extremely perverted fanbase that made no bones about it.

They were grossed out by all the Dennis Malks of the world perving over rabbits and skunks, whether it hastened the demise of the show or not, so in their next show they introduced nurses and minks.
I wonder what the thought process was.

I know, Young Justice was one of my favorites as a kid but now it’s gone downhill with the angsty bullshit. What they did to poor Beast Boy this season was wrong and unnecessary.

The thought process was that it's better to be perving over a hot chick. Minerva Mink never really had a big role in the show - only appeared in two cartoons...

Made even worse by the fact that it's obvious Superboy isn't dead from pretty much the episode after his "death". So their attempts to do Beastboy enjoying a big old batch of survivor's guilt are hollow at best, made more so by the fact that he has lost a lot of other people recently.

They compound this by having some impressively awful performances from the few people trying to help him, ranging from disinterested to comic relief. It's like everyone knew this was awful and refused to even try.

There is some good stuff in the turd mounds. But by and large it's not especially great and some of the writing is so lazy that they literally have one episode end with "errr backed ourselves into a corner...the problem is smited by gods."

Was an unlikeable jerkass all season to everyone because depression and then he goes to therapy and gets better off screen. That’s it.

The lesson being that if you are depressed you just need therapy and that will fix everything. Not like some people can’t affort it or anything. Or worse live in hard conditions that make it impossible.

Greg, not everyone is a rich California kid, as your Beast boy is, that can just go to therapy whenever.

It may not kick Disney and Pixar’s shit in but the main goal would be to gather enough positive for the studio and future projects of it. Slow and steady wins the race.

Oh and a happy 20th anniversary to Kim Possible. Hard to believe 2002 is now two decades ago.
