Western Animation - Discuss American, Canadian, and European cartoons here (or just bitch about wokeshit, I guess)

- Literally endorses poligamy
-Unironic, Muslim non- Binary lesbian
-Lex Luthor as Trump
-Entire episode about how Mera, a woman, is better than Aquaman as king (yes king, not queen)
-Tries to force cringy hashtags to appeal to twitter
-Apologises for using the wrong pronouns with Halo
-Tweets about “straight white men” being bad

And now he claims he doesn’t even know what “being woke is”

I swear Greg could get a thread on his own like Tara.

Was an unlikeable jerkass all season to everyone because depression and then he goes to therapy and gets better off screen. That’s it.

The lesson being that if you are depressed you just need therapy and that will fix everything. Not like some people can’t affort it or anything. Or worse live in hard conditions that make it impossible.

Greg, not everyone is a rich California kid, as your Beast boy is, that can just go to therapy whenever.
After YJ S3 pushed my tolerance for woke shit level to its limit, I was hoping Phantoms would revert back to what made the first two seasons so acclaimed especially with Outsiders revealing that Vandal Savage and Darkseid are building up their respective sides to a final war. Instead there were a number of episodes that focused on personal dramas and featured more "representation". Gotta love Greg's depiction of a sperg and the implication that Orion, a New God, is one. I gave up after the episode where Halo tried to reconcile with Brion, which included getting offended by being called the wrong pronoun, and then looks to start a relationship with the danger hair character who was physically abused by her father.

Couldn't think of anything else to say so here's some more random Drawn together clips. From one of the better eps of the third season no less.

I love how for a while people thought Ray Ray was voiced by Dave Chappelle (cause Chappelle's show was airing around the same time) it was such a well accepted misconception that the movie actually made a joke about. Still listen to Chappelle then Phil Lamar (who that actually is) They sound nothing alike how the hell did anyone get those two mixed up?

I don't know what cotton-eared watchers thought that was Chappelle. He sounds like a raspy duck (and I say that with love). Then again DT had other comedians do voices like Adam Carolla and Carlos Mencia so they might have assumed he'd be in there (according to the imdb he never was). But it's also Phil Lamar, he's done enough work to make you go, "hey I know that voice" by then and by now.

Yeah it's because of Mencia and Carolla most people thought Chapelle was also in one episode. I'm just saying it was such a common misconception back then that the Drawn Together movie even joked about it.

Really it's a shame Comedy Central didn't have much in terms of Good adult animation. I think only Spike did Adult animation worse their block lasted what? a few weeks less than a month and consisted of Ren and Stimpy reruns, Ren and Stimpy adult party Cartoon, Gary the Rat (aka Kelsey grammer's wasted potential ) Stripperella, and This just in along with two shows that never aired and one that never saw the light of day. (The other being Klasky Cuspo's Immigrants which pre packaged as a direct to video film)

The shame was that Klasky-Csupo's Immigrants probably would have been the best show on the block. Judge for yourself:

Jesus, why is Greg going this way? He was already fairly progressive but sensitive enough about it in his previous works. Is there some requirement for modern creators to become caustic idiots? Is it the social media factor once again making everyone such a pain in the ass to one another?

Anyways, the Masters of the Universe reboot gets a new series. Commence the sperging.

Wait... Fionna and Cake were a figment of the Ice King's imagination (and a humorous jab at bad fan fiction in general). Why are they making a show about them?
Late reply, but it was implied in the later seasons that Fionna and Cake is an actual alternate universe where it's events were projected into Ice King's head.
