General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Inb4 her actual gameplay time in MGS4 is like 14 hours, in a game that has maybe 5 hours of actual game on a first time, really bad playthrough.
MGS3 took her about 25 hours so far. I think she's going to have some struggles with a lot of 4 because I seem to recall it being a lot more combat-forward in many parts and actually pulling it off stealth requires a lot more effort. I do still hope she does 5 since she's said she's not really wanting to because Snake is voiced by Keifer Sutherland instead of David Hayter, but 5 will be some real pain because that one is way more combat centric and I know the Skulls will absolutely shred her asshole. They're hard even if you know how to play. Good part is at least 5 won't require a total completion because the game is basically over by the halfway point and if she drops it then I won't care or blame her.

I want to see her forced to play Survive though. That should be enough to help her memory hole Metal Gear entirely.

Intermission with gen1 anniversary stuff:

The original menhera got a new herstyle. Dunno feels too "little girl" to me

Fubuking got her casual outfit rerigged. And that sunboku Form is fucking adorable

Also watch akis concert... Again!
Hilarious that she had to upload the music separately cause this time the Japanese audience was copyright locked out auf the concert

With how directionally challenged she is, the dust segments with no map or indicator would be a nightmare. But I wouldn't mind someone giving some attention to that game since it's nowhere near as bad as everyone says it is.
I always meant to get more into it but even early on into the life I had a hell of a time matching into games and didn't have nearly enough investment to wait 4~+ minutes to get into a game, and SP was eh.

This collab was pretty fun in my opinion. I love how Iroha said she 'couldn't speak British, only some English and Japanese', further confirming that the Brits have lost all control over their language.
Kobo was great at engaging Ame and Iroha. That moment was particularly funny considering Iroha has studied in England.
Iroha didn't talk much, which was expected, but she can understand unusual requests (e.g. language chaos round, "how do you say 'elephant'") and Ame and Kobo have said as much.

Since Aki and Shallys came up, this was uploaded today.

This reminds me that we still don't know when gen 1 will get the live2D 3.0 models. (at least I don't think we do beyond a vague timeframe of "soon"?)

The only people who will be talking about this in half a week are people who want to shitpost to begin with. Wouldn't worry too much until the weekend is over.

Yeah, I know there's been schizos doing real stupid shit to the point of posting her locations/possibly coming up to her at a fucking McDonalds(?), but you're at a con, a place where most people will side with you instantly and get you away from whoever the fuck is being a shit. The kind of people who would read and listen to those rules aren't the people who are trying to fuck with you. If anything, you're giving them more rules to play around with and setting up more ways to fuck with you.
She should have a talk with Kson on how to handle shit like this.

V&U's Liora got monetized, doing a celebration stream eating pizza. She's showing her korean connections pointing out how weird they are with pizza, and how at Korean Costcos people take the free onion topping for the hot dogs, pile it on a plate, then mix mustard with it and use it as a side dish.

The stream is a good example of her vtubing skills, nice voice, good interactions, knows how to keep the flow going.

I missed it because I was raiding. I really like Liora.

Scuff clip of Pippa raging.

@Retink You literally cannot fix this.
Lisa laughing at the spergout was great. Funny enough, her sister also had a bit of a spergout while playing Getting Over It with a bunch of desk banging. I guess it runs in the family.

Damn that's a nice mashup.

I want Pomu to play 5 eventually just because I want to see Pequod zipping in for extraction or covering fire, with Diamond city Lights blaring over the loud speaker drowning out Pumu's panic screams because she can't handle action and combat sequences.
Shit, I completely forgot about the custom music. That would actually be hilarious, calling in the tactical cheer Pequod to provide emotional support while she gets tenderly caressed by sandrussians.

Thinking on it more, I think she could really get by in MGSV with DD, since his passive effect is god tier for those ungifted in the arts of sneak. The slow-time on reaction shots might also be useful for her if she manages to learn to aim. Hopefully if she runs MGSV on PC she tries to adapt for KB+M since she's made it abundantly clear she doesn't have the coordination for analog sticks and the jank of playing any japanese game on a keyboard won't be as much of an obstacle to her usual performance.

Ha
I reverse-searched the image and found this chinese board with a little more infos. The model is from a chinese agency called "Black Heart Company" (would be funny if that's really their name but it's probably something like "black company" I guess) and the artist xiro25 reacted to it but deleted his message. The vtubers name seems to be (sister) Wan Zi. There seems to be more stuff but I'm not going to dig through all this chingchong.

Business as usual for the chinese I guess.

Here is an interesting clip of Roboco talking about the current 3D quality and expenses for concerts besides the tech.

I have just noticed how little i actually tune into streams anymore, vtubers frankly don't seem nearly as interesting as they were when i first found out about them and i would watch holoEN daily. It's probably because i have never liked watching streams anyways, so the more i learn about these people the more that magic fades and it just becomes regular streamers with an anime girl projected ontop of their face.

Me playing genshit consistently for a month is probably the biggest sign that i don't care much for watching vtubers anymore, just reading about drama here is enough for me, also hololive has had a couple of admittedly boring months.
It was always just regular streamers with anime girls pasted on for me. Even before vtubers I watched a shitload of streams including some Japanese language ones, so when I got into vtubers I just shifted towards watching a lot of JP anime girls instead of mostly EN dudes, and then when HoloEN and NijiEN happened they took over most of my stream watching time. The actual advantage of vtubers for me is curation - having dozens of actual good entertainers all in one place, even if I only end up vibing with a few of them, is a huge improvement over having to dig through hundreds of boring motherfuckers to find the gems myself.

I'm not surprised people who just got into vtubers because haha dog girl are falling off. Frankly I wish more westoids would tire of the big name JP chuubas, ever since HoloJP got popular I've had to use a fucking extension to filter out the kaigainiki and make chat halfway readable.

Not going to look into this further, but the translation's pretty far off the mark so I wanted to chime in with some corrections. The vtuber in question is 伊万 Ivan and she's a reasonably popular (500k subscribers) vtuber under 雪风军团 Xuefeng Creative Productions. 'Black Heart Company' is just a mistranslation of the original post calling them a black company. This is a new skin of hers; she's been around for quite a while.

The artist's message roughly says, 'Yeah, yeah, whatever you say. I don't think there's an issue and I'm too lazy to explain myself. I'll draw a new skin for Ivan.' The image he posted with it says 'Sometimes I want to explain myself, but a moment passes and I think... Fuck explaining. I did nothing wrong.'

NGA's general opinion is that it's a clear case of copying and dug up some old art from this artist that suggests this isn't his first time doing it, either.

If Keeki wants to hang out on Dokomi without anyone bothering her, why does she announces on her socials that she's attending there but doesn't want to get bothered by other. Just fucking go.

This fucking chicken needs someone to tardwrangle her IRL persona.

Risu's performance is my favorite:

Speaking of Aki, I don't know Japanese but I enjoyed her Subnautica streams when I could catch them - I recently played and beat it for the first time so it was kind of neat seeing someone else coming at it with a different approach and learning things. One part that sticks out in my memory was when her underwater base was getting damaged and filling with water, and she couldn't figure out the cause - I was confused by what was going on as well because I thought for sure it had enough HP to handle what she had built, and I think the Japanese bros in chat were similarly confused because she seemed to be trying a bunch of different things, but not once did she seem really flustered and just kept going until she eventually figured it out. That sealed Aki as cool-headed under pressure (no pun intended) in my mind.
