An underappreciated aspect of this whole mess is how much of it involves adults trying to make themselves feel okay by recruiting kids to have the same weird problems they have. There's the direct diddling and that kind of grooming, that is about sexual gratification, yes. But then there's another kind of grooming that's more about conditioning kids to have specific and exotic psychological problems, dark fixations, and other troubles that adults want to normalize for themselves. The whole "trans kids" thing is an attempt to pasteurize, so to speak, the mental bacteria-ridden reality of adult AGP (and friends) by making it seem like an inborn condition that could afflict sexually innocent toddlers. So we see the same thing with "girls' clothes aren't COMFORTABLE, girls, you need to be a crossdressing lesbian like me and then you will have REAL freedom!" coming from people who are in fact completely enslaved to their mental disorders and perversions.

Not saying one has to use those exact words, but sooner or later one has to explain to kids what mental illnesses are. If Little Timmy asks "why is that strange-looking and funny-smelling person in the Walmart parking lot screaming about Satan and Reptiloids?" you have to have that conversation. Main point is to explain that there's a difference between playing pretend "I know I'm not Batman, but it's fun to dress as Batman" and actually believing that "I am Batman."
