Idealist fighting for a greater good? He was a tool used by an actual intel professional that in the end was ultimately expendable to the forgien government paying him.
I watched a couple of this guys vids, they seem to just be sperging about any number of pointless topics - shitty 'angry reviewers' and YouTube feminists.

That said, Asa, if you wanted car racing, then just get the first game. In fact this whole thing could have been avoided by giving fat blob the first game to begin with. Though to be fair, I get the feeling that if it's not an RPG, Asa hates it.
I'd say all of them, but Punchdickia is probably at the top. Then there's his RaR on obscure reviewer Sour Apple, where he takes five minutes on a dumb skit that ends with the punchline of his colonoscopy. Fun Fact, he also scared said reviewer from reviewing completely.

That seems to be Asa's game. He scares off reviewers, he tries to scare his critics, and it seems his actions scare off friends like Kyle, Razorfist, Game Boob,, He11sing, and who knows how many others.

Forgive me, I haven't watched many of this guy's videos. Are you saying this guy who is sperging out about feminism and gamer gate and making videos that are meant to insult and/or intimidate other people making shitty videos like him, includes his children in this mess?

So, I know that He11sing didn't open up to me about this. Anyone else want to try to see if they can get him to explain all this? It might help us figure out a bit more about Asa and why he does these things.
Yes. His main series is called "Reviewing A Reviewer", where he spergs out over other internet reviewers. And, I don't remember him including his children often. I do know of a video where he showed off that his daughter can "do the Hadoken" in King of Fighters, but I am not sure if that one is still on his channel. I would need to check.

His daughter is younger than I had imagined. it seems kind of slimey to connect your young daughter to your channel that could easily anger someone who's ability to react rationally is an unknown to you.

Occasionally. His wife will occasionally appear to promote her pixos art (in similar fashion to Asa nad his Truco cards). His children show up a little more infrequently, but the do show, like @MonkeyGodSpanky pointed out.
I was just referring more to the man's general attitude and the way he treats people when I wrote that post.

Anyone else smell bullshit in this? After looking at everything on this thread, and elsewhere, you can tell that when he says he isn't "that kind of guy", he is lying through this teeth. You can see in his eyes that he doesn't mean a word of what he says.
I may be looking too much into this, but it looks like he is doing some sort of damage control to try to recover some sort of positive reputation on the internet. But, it seems that this is coming a few years too late.
What do you guys think?

He doesn't really strike me as a lolcow, most of the drama's day to day asinine bullshit. He come across a bit of a jerk and he isnt very funny but nothing marks him out from a slightly obnoxious neighbor or the any other mediocre youtuber.

Asa, people consider you a lolcow becuase you like to incite drama over the stupidest things. You alienate all those around you (be it ally or enemy). And I'm legitimately surprised that BBC hasn't gone after your ass for all the shit you done (or you go after him).

This is what I find to be the ultimate irony: The people who made videos criticizing the Irate Gamer for being a tool back in the day are usually more cringeworthy and laughable than him. They just rode his coattails to some semblance of Internet fame.
I mean, look at the dude that runs the Irate Gamer Sucks blog (I think his name is BatDan). Total lolcow in his own right.

I'd argue the haters of Irate Gamer/AVGN are worse than either the fans, or the ones that get "inspired" by them. And those guys are bad enough as it is.
So yeah, I can see where you're coming fromwith that point. But Asa, I think, goes a little deeper than that. Seeing as he has a burning rageboner for both TGWTG and AVGN (as well as every other reviewer that weren't part of his Circlejerk friends). And giving his falling out with Hellsing, Rageholic and and several others. I'm getting the feeling he'll be making more of them yet.
As an aside I will bring this up:
I think you guys may be familiar with TheHardcoreKid and this video. But here's the interesting part, he remade it. And took Asa out of the list? Why? Well it's simple really... He played the victim and browbeat Hardcore into remaking the list.
All and all, it goes to show that the fat bastard will always get his way, and it's never a good thing when it happens.

True, he does have a history of forcing people to think his way. There is a video elsewhere on this thread where we see him sending threatening voicemails to a former friend, seemingly to get answers to why he walked away. And, the video against He11sing might be seen as Asa browbeating and guilting him into returning.
Thankfully, the voicemail guy never came back, and as far as I can tell, He11sing will barely talk about him, much less talk to him. These two didn't cave in, and I think that gets to Asa real bad.
Just look at him in that 'no more drama' video of his. Look how haggard he looks. I think He11sing not returning to him, or giving him the drama he wants, is getting to him.

He's always looked off putting (I dare say he rivals Striker and 600GoingOn700 in terms of fatness), but I can see what you mean. Doesn't particularly help that his neckbeard is starting to grow back.

Never interacted with him personally, but I HAVE spoken to a few of his circlejerk members before. They're basically a group personification of unwarranted self-importance.

There's this one guy on YouTube for example who goes by "BlueMagus." He associates with Eric and, judging by the few videos of his that I've seen, generally seems to "borrow" from other, more famous reviewers like Stuart Ashen. I had a chance encounter with him on Skype once (I know someone who's casual friends with him, and he got added to the conversation). You know how everyone seems to know that one nerd who acts like the "alpha" of their circle because they think they have the most knowledge on a particular topic or whatever? That's basically what this guy was like. Hilariously, he's employed at a shitty job and doesn't do shit around his house, letting whoever he lives with (mother or grandmother, not sure which) take care of everything.
I only talked to him that one time, but I actually managed to add Eric himself on Facebook through him. Unfortunately, I was never able to engage him personally. I tried messaging him once or twice, but he never responded and he eventually just deleted me for whatever reason.
I also spoke to Afroblu3, or whatever his name is (the British guy) once, though that was years ago so I admittedly can't remember much from it. I remember a general air of smugness about him, though.
