TGWTG Eric Gaede / Asalieri - ChannelAwesome reject that pirates from his peers

There's this one guy on YouTube for example who goes by "BlueMagus." He associates with Eric and, judging by the few videos of his that I've seen, generally seems to "borrow" from other, more famous reviewers like Stuart Ashen. I had a chance encounter with him on Skype once (I know someone who's casual friends with him, and he got added to the conversation). You know how everyone seems to know that one nerd who acts like the "alpha" of their circle because they think they have the most knowledge on a particular topic or whatever? That's basically what this guy was like. Hilariously, he's employed at a shitty job and doesn't do shit around his house, letting whoever he lives with (mother or grandmother, not sure which) take care of everything.

I only talked to him that one time, but I actually managed to add Eric himself on Facebook through him. Unfortunately, I was never able to engage him personally. I tried messaging him once or twice, but he never responded and he eventually just deleted me for whatever reason.

I also spoke to Afroblu3, or whatever his name is (the British guy) once, though that was years ago so I admittedly can't remember much from it. I remember a general air of smugness about him, though.
Huh. I remember talking to TOG Professor at some point. Though it wasn't really over Asa, but something else (I forget what). Funny thing is, I remember TOG being part of another group that were close to each other too- Youngbloodfantasy91's.

I'm surprised Asa and them didn't have more interaction with YBF and them. Would have been amusing.

Well, just looked at Asa's channel again. Remember that video where he said he was done with drama videos? That promise was short lived. In the past five days, he has made two videos about the Fine Brothers, trying to jump on that bandwagon and get all the views he can. And, he also made a video about Anita Sarkeesian. Or, rather a video where he poses as Anita in Town of Salem in hopes of dying, thus killing Anita Sarkeesian.

I don't even like Anita, or what she does, and I find this to be rather disgusting.

It really is a whole new level of shameful, even from him:

ah that's been his MO for a while going after the SJW like moviebob and Sarkeesian

I know that that has been his thing for a while, but it was never this blatant or deliberate. Normally, he just makes videos either complaining about whatever new video some SJW has released, or he is doing some poorly done parody of one of these SJWs. I don't think he has ever just done something like this.

It's pretty surprising to see that he has a family and owns his own house.

I am not so sure of that. I have heard rumors that his mother owns the house, and that he just covers utilities. Again, can't outright prove it, but I have heard from numerous sources that he may not own the house.

Remember when Asa promised he was done with drama? Seems he couldn't keep that promise. Seems he did a stream last night spending nearly three hours complaining about He11sing.

I would say I am surprised that he is back to his drama seeking ways, but I would be lying.

That's something that's always bothered me. He allegedly lives in poverty but he owns a house. Usually when first world people live in poverty, it means they rent or pay a mortgage at best. The idea of him having money also raises a bunch of other questions that don't add up, such as "why didn't he ever get a proper HD camera when he was trying to join TGWTG & ReviewTopia?" and "Why did he always make videos in Windows Movie Maker and make shitty cartoons in MS Paint if he could afford not-shitty software?". In fact, I don't think he ever did a movie or game review before, which would imply he couldn't. Furthermore, didn't he once complain about losing his job or something?

I'm wondering if he didn't have a job in the first place, used mama for money and used that "I'm out of a job" excuse for pity points.

I'd say one good thing about Asalieri: he DOES speak multiple languages (Spanish, English, and Portuguese, at least; perhaps Chinese too, although I couldn't tell if he was genuinely talking Chinese). That would put him above your average angry Youtube reviewer/lolcow, since most of them barely can speak their mother language to begin with.

On the surface, you would think he would be more of a functioning adult. He has a wife and a kid, he has his own house and he's a fairly good cook. But once you look past the surface, you see a fat guy on the internet ranting about other fat people and political correctness.

Hey, let me bump this thread!

Remember when Asalieri criticized other reviewers for "e-begging" and made fun of Kickstarter projects? Calling other people greedy, unethical and whatnot?

Well!

Recently, Asa has revived his "Reviewing A Reviewer" series... not because he truly wanted it, mind you...

(his previous episode was on Gaming Theory, which is not even a a reviewing series! He just wanted an excuse to rant on a popular series that he finds lame and stupid)

... he made a new episode because some fanboy of his paid him 500 dollars to do it!!
He was called the green-eyed monster... and now he has his eyes on the green!

But this "Reviewing A Reviewer" is on DarknessTheCurse... you might remember this guy... he used to be quite the lolcow, if I'm not mistaken...

DarknessTheCurse... I'm not sure if I'm remembering wrong, but I'm pretty sure he was one of the more notorious members of the commentary community.

Again, I may be remembering things wrong (seeing as it's been nearly 4-5 years at this point). But it's amazing how he's managed to survive for this long. Then again, Sonic can do some crazy things.

Asa even compares him to a modern Chris-Chan in the video!

DarknessTheCurse's most recent video is him doing a LP of Sonic '06... oh, wow, talk about being late on the bandwagon!

I remember this guy from the old Encyclopedia Dramatica days. He was never a lolcow. More of a fanboy who turned on TGWYG because they wanted nothing to do with him.

The only reason he got popular was because he made videos trashing TGWTG reviewers back when they were at the height of their popularty and folks thought they could do no wrong.

He actually coined the "Pissed Jose" and "Storytime with Uncle Linky" phrases that trolls still toss around to this day.

But he got salty that his "Reviews" did nothing to their success. He wanted to be able to wreck reviewers careers with his videos and seemed to realize he would never be able to do anything to the likes of AVGN, TGWTG, or anyone their size.

So he started picking on small-time, unknown Youtubers that just did reviews as a side hobby or for fun. He was A-Logging before it had a name, picking on nobodies to try and make himself look tough.

It backfired, his series tanked, and he stopped reviewing due to butthurt. That was where he fell off of most trolls' radar.

Pretty much; and the fact he still occasionally "reviews" other lesser and/or irrelevant YouTubers doesn't help.
