Give me moais, but this banning of books issue is so damn typical for the left. If the political right does something similar (like in Texas or Florida), then it gets blown way out of proportion: Texas did not "ban" pro-trans books, it just does not allow them to be taught in school anymore (and for good reason), and they are still available for purchase at whichever bookstore is willing to sell that bullshit. But the trannies treated it like it's the next holocaust and just condensed it to "TEXAS IS BANNING TRANS BOOKS!"
But if they want books to be banned, then it is suddenly okay because it happens to "protect our democracy", to "stop harm to minorities" and to "stop misinformation". Fuck trannies, fuck this Pride Month bullshit, and fuck this incessant pandering to a minority that is so small it's not even a single percent of the population and grooms kids in order to reproduce.
To me it just reeks of human nature no matter what your politics are; controlling the narrative controls the people.
They (being anyone who wants that power really) will always say it's about getting the information to people so that said people can then make their own decisions but that's never actually the goal. If it was then they'd be throwing open the doors to ALL information, from what they support to even the shit you find on the forums here (which is why I love this place, it's an uncensored mix-and-match of all kinds of people with all kinds of beliefs) to give people the broadest view of a topic and let them make their own judgments from there.
It's really laughable when a group, and I mean ANY group, talks about educating others while also vying and even
relying on censorship. You'd also be hard pressed to find any group in recent years more in love with censorship than SJWs, and specifically, the TRAs. It's amazing to watch a group, in real time, attempt to warp how people think through the censoring of language. You can't even use gendered language for genitals now without someone "IT'S MA'AM"ing you when gender is, at it's base logic in most people's minds, genitals.
And don't let anyone fool you, this kind of slow twist has nothing to do with inclusion or progress, if it did then it wouldn't include childish threats of suicide to get ones own way, or an outright denial of established science. If it was just about living as your true selves there wouldn’t be TRAs taking insult with a third ungendered bathroom rather than using the woman’s room, there wouldn’t be this push to be not only included but be the voice of lesbian only spaces. If it was about wanting to be treated like everyone else then there wouldn’t be this demand to be treated
special.
Augh sorry I’ve gone on a rant again, but I guess my point is beware any group that advocates censorship whether it’s your religious right or radical left.
