That would assume that Phil was a normal, well adjusted person. He's not, he's a stubborn self righteous asshole with a victim complex and he was this before he moved to Washington, all it has done is amplify it. When something bad happens to him as a consequence of his actions, he just blames everyone else so him adapting is almost impossible. Plus when he moved he had a "mommy" figure readily available to him: Leanna. By the time he really did have to fend for himself, he almost immediately began working on a replacement, which was Kaht.

Kat might be fat but if she's still working random shelf stocking bullshit she 100% has better stamina than Phil.

Phil has a weird mix of metabolism and laziness where he doesn't have any muscle mass at all but doesn't really gain weight (probably due to him drinking more alcohol than eating food).

But Kat is used to spending hours on her feet at work extra pounds or not. So of course a walk to the condo mail room doesn't wind her as much as Phil (who sweats if his AC isn't turned up high enough just playing games)

Something I've noticed (at least with Americans I've chatted with online) is that they tend to make their entire personalities around their demographic or disability. I didn't watch today cause this game is something DSP shouldn't play, people who can carry a stream are fine.

I really don't get this guy. Look at how incapable he is of just turning the page and moving on from what he considers a 'bad' stream. It's not just because he got $7 either, because he does this shit when he's gotten $50 or $60 as well. The extent to which he tries to extract some kind of meaning, reason, long-term significance, and on and on, out of every single stream that he doesn't get the compensation he feels entitled to is fucking brutal. Shut tf up and move on, dude.

As for his take on inflation and its effects on tipping, I'm sure that something in his brain must be damaged in some fundamental way. The arguments he makes to avoid saying what any normal person would ('I know things are tight for a lot of people, they're tight for me, please don't feel pressured to donate, etc.') are just absurd:

'Well, if inflation is why I got $7, then how do you explain why I've had more successful streams since inflation started?'

This reminds me of something like an infant that hasn't developed object permanence yet so they think that when someone is out of sight, they've ceased to exist, and they cry. How fundamental of a concept is it that life changes for people on a daily basis? That people who have money one day may not have it the next? Because something was, it will always be? Is this guy fucking retarded?

The previous response covers this as well, but this specific example is him arguing from the basis of how much above and beyond he got just the other day, which then makes me wonder why the fuck he's even talking like this about a stream a few days later that only made $7?? He actually seems awkward to me when trying to make this argument because I think he has to know on some level how ridiculous it's making him look.

His level of detachment and inability to empathize with others, even putting himself in another person's shoes in regards to problems HE HIMSELF has bitched about (cherry juice anybody?) is seriously pathological. In the attempt to try and get as much financial compensation as he can, he will make any argument, no matter how nonsensical, to fight having to exhibit any kind of outward introspection that may result in him empathizing with others and accepting that he should be happy and content with what he gets and that he can't always get what he wants.

There are a classification of people who are very good at making these exact kinds of self-serving and self-protective arguments that really don't hold up against basic logic and scrutiny, and who have to actively put their needs before those of others, almost out of a physiologically / chemically triggered sense of mental survival: addicts.

Edit: I think this is a good representation of why people analyze, and are intrigued, to such a great extent by him. There's such an enormous amount of psychological pathology on display in just a 10 minute video that you almost need to try to make sense of it.

I love that he's catching himself saying "I'm going to be ahnest with you", like he's now self consious of his saying such an obvious tell for him lying.
