The other day I saw this now deleted comment on one of Dani’s Instagram posts. It’s a very anonymous account, but I still chose to believe them since it confirms my suspicions that Dani is lying about finding her best friend Kelly’s dead body on her bathroom floor. Since she has no problem lying, for example she claims she has been in a relationship for the last 18 years, I was suspicious about her story from the start.
Here she is mumbling about it:

"Anyway, the psych eval, I had to tell them about Kel and how like, how I found her and how I feel guilty now. I blame myself and how like I have undiagnosed PTSD from it and how I hate bathrooms. I'm standing in the bathroom right now, but I'm talking to you guys so it's OK.

I have to distract myself every time I go into the bathroom, because like I can't go in there without seeing that image. And trust me, you don't want that to be the last image of your best friend. You don't, it's just horrible."

When I read these comments on her TikTok a while ago I got the feeling that Dani just wanted an equally awful and tragic experience as her follower, so she took their story and made it her own.

And back to the deleted comment, I recognized the name Kadee from Kelly’s Instagram and googled her name. First, I found that she has her own thread here

This occurred to me when I out of morbid curiousity uploaded my results to a tool called Genomapp. This is just a small screenshot of conditions someone may have markers for, which is a far cry from a diagnosis, but I could see a munchie using the latest internet genetic tests as a munchie tool, reading something like the attached and running with it.

Her family and friends have never released the cause of death. My best guesses were either her heart gave out after years of first binge eating then starving and extreme purging followed by tube feeding and rapid weight gain and a major medical incident (she had compartment syndrome about a year before she died and needed emergency surgery), or suicide/accidental overdose. She seemed to be pretty happy though and hadn't been suicide posting in years, but the fact that no one has even posted an awareness post a year and change after she died makes me think it was that. But at her worse point in her ED she was purging water and her potassium was hovering in the cardiac arrest zone for weeks so her heart was probably fucked on ice.

She wasn't like mega fat but she probably gained 60 lbs in two years. You can also see the scar from the emergency surgery on her calf. She made posts about getting a port or picc but I think that was for the leg and not TPN or salt water or anything.


Kelly had a fuckin rough life, man.

Yes, because all that website is doing is running your exome data through and comparing it to 'normal', flagging a ton of 'mutations of unknown significance'. That translates to no significance because we have to assume that we don't know of all possible normal human variation.

This is precisely how that one bitch claimed a rare disorder hard enough to get included in a case study but it turns out it was just munching.

To prove a mutation causes a disorder, you have to model what that precise mutation does in the final protein. This is fairly easy to do, hence why even mutations showing up in symptomatic individuals can still be labeled as 'mutations of unknown signifiance'.

The surest way is to take the diseased protein and figure out what proteins it is interacting with and compare this to normal versions of the protein. This is expensive and time consuming, but gives you a map of the disease and can show how diseases develop when they're polygenic (like Alzheimer’s).

Men actually have more collagen on average (oddly testosterone promotes collagen, which is new to me), with the "tougher", thicker skin. They lose it pretty rapidly with age, which probably leads to that aging effect, plus men unaccustomed to more fragile skin suddenly faced with new issues. Looking at some papers, it looks like both sex hormones actually promote skin thickness, and "balance" of hormone types and amounts is pretty important.

Women with PCOS also show thicker skin too with higher collagen, interestingly. It seems like a poor collagen balance is at play, plus the skin aggravating effects of poor hormonal balance (oil production, increased acne rates, etc).

When you think about it, one of the traits of real EDS is soft, silky skin, so that shitty collagen does add up to more "ideal" skin texture. It's just coupled with fragility.

They didn’t find she’d broken her pelvis until months later when she was still in a lot of pain and eventually, grudgingly, x rayed her.
