Let's just get this out of the way.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) Won reelection by +9.6% in 2020
Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) Won reelection by +1.8% in 2020
Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) Won reelection by +2.8% in 2016, isn't running in 2022
Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) Won reelection by +5.7% in 2016, voted to impeach Trump, isn't running in 2022
Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) Won reelection by +40.1% in 2020, voted to impeach Trump
Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) Won reelection by +8.6% in 2020, voted to impeach Trump
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) Won reelection by +10.2% in 2020
Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) Won reelection by +20.8% in 2016, isn't running in 2022
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) You already know. Voted to impeach Trump
Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) Won reelection by +1.5% in 2016, voted to impeach Trump, isn't running in 2022

Btw McConnell says he supports the negotiations for this
Wait, they're actually going to pass this shit? No filibustering? Every last one of these cocksuckers needs to be primaried ASAP.

Read the press release about it. If they hold to it there aren't many problems. The biggest issue is that if it passes citizens 18-21 will have enhanced background checks for assault weapons, which the wording makes me think is permission from the sheriff to buy them.
Nothing should be passing at all, this is not some sort of winning issue for Democrats and we've compromised on second amendment rights way too fucking much already. :Edit: Also that domestic violence/restraining order thing is obviously open to abuse as anyone who's ever had a crazy ex or two fucking knows, fuck that shit.

@Gehenna, you have a take on this shit? Why is McConnel in favor of this garbage? Is he afraid that the Dems will actually get rid of the filibuster and stack the court?

Cornyn was one of the most gun control senators there with Trump when Feinstein was wringing her hands over the idea that Trump would actually implement gun control she wanted.
He's always been going at this angle, along with Graham who was a major proponent of "red flag" laws.

I agree, but this isn't an end-of-the-world bill. I'm sick of them taking rights from 18-21 year olds.
I'm pretty sure restraining orders are already a reason for gun seizures, but it's also retarded as you don't always get a chance to fight those.
I'm concerned with what they're going to do with FFL's though.

It’s probably no accident that there are exactly 10 of them (the minimum number needed to break the filibuster) and that most of them were last elected in 2020 or aren’t running for re-election.

The irony that Texas elects a gun control friendly senator lol.

Tucker talked about this, and yet conservatives in red states refused to learn.

Just because a state is deep red doesn't mean the pozz isn't there and does not have to be from liberals.

No, it isn't an end-of-the-world bill, but that doesn't mean it's good, and the GOP should be standing like a fucking wall on this specific issue if any, no compromise with the grabboids godammit.

Oh silly me, I forgot that the actual purpose of congress wasn't for it's members to represent the interests of their constituents, they're there to hobnob with the wealthy donor class so they can get rich instead. How foolish of me. :^ )

...that would be more though. The Canadian dollar is currently 78% of the US dollar. So the price over there would be around $7.02 which is 2 bucks higher than the average cost of oil in the US for the time being.
Oh yeah you're right, screwed up with my currency conversion! Still going to bitch about it though, especially when Castro Junior up here intends on increasing the federal tax level on gas next month.

Yesterday I found out a bunch of independants (read Dems who are scared of losing in a red state, about 50 of them) had a meeting in our state capitol city and laid out a platform. They don't seem to understand that this makes them a party now.
This is after 10 or so Dem officials per county switched parties or denounced the Dems everywhere in my area.
huh interesting... perhaps if the dems keep fucking up, some independents (dems) might try their luck with a third party. who knows though

They rig the primaries. There's very little we can do to even slow down what's happening. This will pass, they'll keep having false flags, more gun seizure laws will pass... it's just going to take most of the decade for people to understand we can't live with this government. In the meantime they'll do tremendous damage to us.
