I'm not exactly sure what Goldoar gave him but I'm pretty sure it wasn't cash. It was an old Nintendo DS (which he really didn't seem to give much of a shit about) and some door dash. Goldoar was an 18 year old unemployed kid in the middle of a Pandemic. He didn't have the resources to throw loads of cash at Fatty.
Where he really started upping the begging was with Geek Room. He got a couple nights at the Days Inn and a bunch of expensive food (which is really the high point of Lucas's life... it doesn't get better than that for him).
During Goldoar's time he was going around saying that he was famous for being on a Podcast, so I think the main reason he engaged with Goldoar (and later me) was for the fame. After that blew up in his face, he started trying to monetize his infamy.
You can make the argument that the Quid Pro Quo he had going with Goldoar (it was mostly fried chicken and other junk food as I recall) may have led to this, but it was Geek Room who started shelling out 100's of dollars on him. I haven't followed Skeletor as closely, but I get the impression he's giving gifts (shoes and sharing a couple cases of beer with him while on camera for example) and not paying him cash money.
He's drying up. I wonder if he's already had his damn phone stolen again?

I think we are in for a good content arc, what we need is for our boy to get some temporal distance from Mallon.
Much of the behavior that secured Lucas his cowdom had major attention seeking characteristics to it. Think of the last time he had a mental health emergency, he went to a busy bus station in a crowded urban area and proceeded to make such a spectacle that transit police had to call in an ambulance to get him out of there. It was entirely unnecessary and Lucas could have gotten admitted for treatment by much easier and honest means.
At Mallon, everyday he had interactions with people who were fundamentally caring for him through service; passing meds, doing his laundry, feeding him, etc, etc. These were experiences that he was no doubt interpreting in a manner befitting of his narcissism, but it was also meeting a primary need of his: people acknowledging his existence and proving through action that he is worthy of their attention. On the streets of Spokane he is just a fat derelict with poor hygiene, but at Mallon he was a client who deserved care.
Now that he is away from Mallon, it’ll take some time for the residual glow of human interaction to fade, but he will eventually come to miss it. When he does, he’ll go back to the attention seeking behavior, he’ll have no other option because most people are not going to associate with Lucas for long unless they are being paid to do so.

I'm honestly glad places like Mallon exist. I wonder how active the staff are in the daily lives of the speds in this new place. Is there anyone making sure Lucas stays medicated? Someone is enforcing the no guests policy, but sometimes they can just appoint the most capable sped as a caretaker.

Lucas loses interest in things that aren’t underage girls and food very quickly, the only reason we still have “pay me to do shoutouts” Lucas is because people continue to pay him to do shoutouts and make equally stupid videos. Goldy might have started “pay me to be on your podcast” Lucas, but honestly I think that would have happened eventually anyway, if not with Goldaor then with someone else, and other people have kept it up long after Goldy disappeared.
Besides, I don’t mind the people who pay him for podcasts, sometimes the podcasts produce great content, and often it’s Lucas content that Lucas doesn’t TRULY have any control over. But regardless, it’s the people paying him to make stupid ass minute long videos who are to blame here, not Goldaor and the other “podcast” people.

Lucas was "I can't be homeless anymore" before he was put on pills, though. He has changed on this. Something happened, maybe just that his feet got so bad and Lucas finally realized he'd suffer too much waddling outside all day especially during winter.

So, it sounds like this "apartment" isn't what Lucas thought it would be. It sounds like it is more or less a place for speds, but an upgrade. Now he has more responsibilities. The big question is how much of the tugboat check are they taking? I bet it is probably not much less than they were taking before. After all the fees and tip, you basically pay double what you would if you went and got the food yourself. Like a McDonald's value meal can run you 15 or 16 dollars, or more. As I said prior when he said he was moving I checked into housing for the disabled. From what I saw for "supportive housing" the monthly rate is 30-40% of the person's income. I think his new sped apartment/facility would need to be classified/licensed as an assisted living facility to charge a rate close to Mallon. If his new place/facility were an ALF, it would have to provide meals,housekeeping, laundry service like Mallon. If it goes by "supportive housing/special needs housing" it be the 30-40%.

I'm thinking maybe the Creeper already did something that got him in trouble at his "new" apt and that is what triggered the mooing about the "draconian/unfair" rules. The one(s) in charge of the apt would have told him the rules before he moved in . I'd say since April when he went to see the apt/met the chill roommate, posted he was moving in June. He couldn't wait to get out of Mallon and the day he moved (June 1) celebrated with a Subway. Now the Creeper is pissed he has to abide by the rules or end up back out in the street.
