Red flag policies and age-based restrictions reeks of the Patriot Act chicanery. Get constituents riled up with a barrage of emotionally exploitive news, in a time when tensions are high and optimism is low, and you'll get just enough people to buckle on the principles of independence and receive the promise of safety by the government... through the insidious sacrifice of safety from the government.

Stock up now, because when this shit passes good luck even seeing a gun outside of the midwest. Even then, in a few years when they keep chipping away at the 2A- it'll be a gun-free Euro-esque shithole all over the US

They say they're going to take the guns yet it never works out and if anything more bills ending restrictions on guns get passed in states. Even if this does get passed it won't have much effect, it will just be a bill that says "Hey we did something" but won't be effective at all due to the other states finding loopholes around it. There's a map that get posted a lot about what restrictions there are on right to carry and over the years you see that more states dropped the restrictions. My state for example had completely abolished the restrictions. So at the end of the day this bill won't do anything and it's not going to help Democrats win back their party base who are getting more and more sick and tired of them.

I know the feeling - I'm just sitting here laughing, I threw a bonus into the market just to stop that voice in the back of my head going "but what if". I won't weep if it implodes, I'm just gonna ride it to a wild time. I'm getting "bitcoin is down 2.5%" notifs every few hours now.

Plus, it was fun to be able to say I was a doge millionaire after throwing like $80 into it.

Protest about the right to end your baby's life at any time being potentially stripped from you, and it’s hand-waved away as a "peaceful protest". Protest about the presidential election being fishy, and your ass is thrown in federal prison. Honk honk. *sigh*
