Have you not heard of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"? Why try to reinvent the wheel by recoding your own terrible forum when you can just as easily get a cheap set of forum software/hosting and not have to worry about it. I mean it's pretty obvious you're a bit of a sperg by your behavior and initial post, but still, come on.
This is off topic, but I like this question! The main reason for "reinventing the wheel" is because I don't want moderation to have to be the go-to option to keep a community together. Moderators are poison. Also, I don't like how you have to refresh threads with F5, in the modern age, your web page should automatically update when a new post is made. I also like the idea of not tracking IPs and preserving anonymity, something most modern forum technologies don't address.
Communities such as these are the future of a large number of Human social lives. It's the interactions and dynamics between the members that give people a sense of self, a sense of belonging, etc, forum software is a highly psycological thing, and by using psycology, I hope to develop a software that facilitates long-term friendships naturally by providing users with effective, fun, and gratifying contexts which will encourage the users to work together, etc.
TLDR, I really like psychology, and I think forums are the future of a large portion of Human communication, and relationships
