Inactive Nick Bate / Nickalaus B. Stoutzenberger - (Thread 3: JUDGEMENT DAY)

Just now learning about this guy. Been captivated for hours reading old threads and whatnot. It's a mixture of horror and amazement.

I'll be very interested to see what the judge rules (I'm positive the jury will be against him). I doubt he'll get by with a "not guilty by reason of insanity" which is a comforting thought (since, what, only 3% of trials get that outcome?). The interesting thing will be the sentence. It'll really, really depend on who judges the trial and how good/bad the defense and prosecution are.

Let's hope for a bad defense attorney, a persuasive prosecutor, and a very irritable judge who likes high numbers. Fingers crossed.

I actually had a nightmare the other night that he got off free.
Question for those attending the trial: Will you be able to snap a pic of the Nick's current appearance? He looked just hopeless in Saul's video months back, I'm interested to see how he is holding up.

My pessimistic nightmare is this hearsay thing is the prosecution's only witness pulled out at the last minute and they're trying to convict him on pure hearsay. That's the only situation that actually goes well for Nick.

My God, that poor jury...just imagine, they'll be going into this with the same blissful ignorance we all had prior to learning about him, and they'll hear the horrific details we're unaware of so it'll be even worse for those poor souls :(

At least they'll be in a position to make him pay for those feels.

A jury trial. I just got the mental image of AO on the stand recounting the horrors that Nick unleashed on her, and Nick just turning to the jury and flashing that grin and thumbs up thing he likes to do. Will the jury even bother to deliberate?
If he does that and his public defender (or lawyer? I know very, very little about the Bates case, so I don't know, if he has someone to fork over money for a lawyer) doesn't prevent him from doing it, than the willingness of the jury for any kinda leniency will be under -9000.

His lawyer is a public defender.

I think the jury would jump the defense table and personally strangle him.

Nick's the unemployed son of white gutter trash who perpetually smells of shit, constantly babbles about his desires to rape and murder everything, and bathes by sticking his head under the sink once a month. Why the fuck would he have anything but a public defender?

I'm honestly wondering right now, what with his shit-covered footprints all over the internet (it's incredibly easy to find them too, he uses his real name in many places and is very obvious to spot), how is it that he was JUST arrested less than a year ago? How has he not been institutionalized yet? He's obviously very fucked up in the head, surely someone should have realized how much of a danger he was to society before then?
I mean, he literally admitted to molesting his sister and fantasizing about raping and murdering people.

Probably the cops needed just that long to find evidence they can use in court to really get a hard verdict. It's not as if they can just slap a printout of the Kiwi Farms threads and an Encylopedia Dramatica article on the judge's desk and say "Give this fucker live, biyotch!"

Personal theory: after hearing about him for the first time, it take most people anywhere from 5 to 10 months to wake up from the mental stroke they suffered as a result of understanding all his bullshit. It's like staring into infinity - the shock alone should kill us, but the human mind won't let itself die over something like this. Not when justice can prevail.

Thankfully there's a large threshold to institutionalizing people against their will.
But even still, a lot of us thought that Sick Nick was just being edgy and saying these things for attention and it came as a sort of a shock to me that he had actually committed these things that he said.

But they don't even need to look at the Farms OR ED, because all the evidence comes straight from the source.
Saying things isn't evidence. Plenty of people talk about crimes they've never committed.

It's only a crime if you actually commit a crime. While what Nick said (and did) was disgusting, there's no law against talking like a disgusting pile of shit.

Worst case scenario is he'll be acquitted, but I imagine that his months in jail might have already broken him.

It's rural Pennsylvania. They don't give a fuck. If you commit your special crime you go into the tank with the rest of the scum, nuts or not.

It's fairly likely after sentencing that he goes to some kind of facility with special housing for obvious violence targets, but the only segregated housing where he is now is just to throw you in solitary and forget you.

It's a jail/prison that looks like some kind of fucking medieval dungeon and is apparently barely above that level on the inside.
