Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

I watched the new episode. It is astounding how it took five episodes to get to the content that the fans wanted which was
Reva's backstory and why she was morally justified.

Ewan and Hayden.
Oh...

I have no idea why he looks so damn old
They should release Special Editions of the prequels and digitally age Anakin up in AotC and RotS to better match the Disney Canon of Obiwan. Adding lots of scenes of kid Reva in RotS as well, of course.

I hate how everything has to have this smug smirking attitude to it now; it's like every piece of our decaying culture is making the Dreamworks face at me at once. His name is Solo, because that's a name where he comes from, it's just a relatively common name. They have silly names in Star Wars, and that's one of them. But no, we need to 'they fly now' his fucking name. Everything has to be wrapped in a thick layer of detached irony, nothing can be genuine, everything is sarcastic.

Thank god I don't pay for media anymore or I'd be really mad.

But of course, we have to make our unnecessary prequel/midquel content, which means we have to constantly be making pointless origin stories that nobody asked for to every facet of a character we just originally assumed was something the character just did. The character has a gun they like? Actually, it's a super special gun they got from someone else. This character employed a decent strategy? Fuck you, they actually just took this strategy from someone else years ago! Everything needs an origin!

Thats the problem with "Its like poetry, it Rhymes."

they put a tracker on Obi to be a call back to Vader doing it to Solo [ thus making Vader seem unoriginal....also making Tarkin's reaction seem dumber]
They put a tracker on Obi during a sequence thats a call back to a recent video game
Where Leia was interrogated [ as a Call back to A New Hope and The Force Awakens]
To set up a climax in Episode V which is a call back to The Last Jedi

And note anything that is *interesting* in the characters is quickly moved on from to get to the next "I know what that is"

The writing is very bad

How long until they start combing over Jetsons episodes for space-related names?

Well there goes the last reason to watch Kenobi. That small scene with Hayden and Ewan again was all I was interested in seeing. Thank the maker I didn't watch all this shit. As the small minority of people who likes Hayden as Anakin I'm disappointed they didn't just have a conversation or something. Maybe Anakin talking to Obi Wan about his mother or about Padme. Maybe how he feels he's being treated at the Jedi Temple, or his relationship with Obi Wan. I don't fucking know.

Going by Genndy Wars logic this is before Anakin ranks up from a Padawan so I have no idea why he looks so damn old. I still don't understand why they don't just use the de-aging tech Marvel Studios has. It's either uncanny valley video game cutscenes (Rogue One, Mando S2) or old people. I remember hearing rumors of how Leia and Kylo had CGI work done in the sequels to make them look younger but I can't confirm that for sure. Couldn't they bother to pitch up his voice either? It's like how Vader sounds old as hell in RO but get 40 years younger in ANH. He didn't sound like this in AOTC.

I guess my posts about the lightsaber fights from yesterday were somewhat wrong. I never would have imagined they would go back to PT style spinning fights in something Disney related but a lot of the goodwill from the pre-TLJ days is gone.
That flashback has to take place before AOTC because if you look closely, you can see Anakin still has his human right arm before he foolishly let Dooku slice it off.

Why do they have Vader fighting with One hand? This is 10 years after he is Vader? He should be well into his variation of form 5 at this point? He cannot be acrobatic anymore. He has to be an imposing, solid, unrelenting force always moving forward when he fights. It's 10 years he's been working on this.

I wish we could have nice things, but we can't.

So, from what I've been told, it's essentially Disney canon now that people can routinely survive getting stabbed in the stomach with a lightsaber? And Vader's apparently not-killed Reva twice now because of it?
Curious what Robot Chicken's Palpatine would have to say about that.

Who needs good backgrounds or movie scene and setting-accuracy when you have Hidden Mickeys instead!

Mediocre sfx and cgi despite being a multibillion dollar company, but hey at least you get the reminder of who owns everything and everyone now.
Star wars tales tried to warn us BACK IN 2000!

Mickey IE already exists before this shit was pointed out in OWK? Wow, what a real coincidence!

Found the main flaw of the disappointingly painful scene that is the Reva vs Vader scene! It cuts out Vader's real skills so bad that the fight style Vader does doesn't even match the monstrous powerhouse that is Vader from the OT. It just doesn't do faith for how he fights. Vader fights in a heavyweight suit that severely limits his acrobatics, only allowing him to fight offensively without using is acrobatic skills and being a monstrous powerhouse that isn't flexible, but fights when he moves forward and uses Form 5 more exceedingly well than him before his burning on Mustafar. Disliked how they handle the entire duel on its own.

The pain begins. People die when they got stabbed in the stomach by a lightsaber, and this is the answer to it? If Reva was initially stabbed by the stomach like when she is a youngling, she was supposed to die, not stabbed then stay alive for the remaining of the episode.
Man it makes no sense sometimes.

To be fair, we don't know the extent of the technology and the force. The two combined, a stomach wound isn't a big deal.

More criminal is Darth FUCKING VADER not finishing her the FUCK off!!!!!

She's there. On the fucking ground. Same with Filoni's fucking cunt OC. Why wouldn't you chop off her head??? It's just a flick of the wrist? Anakin literally survived a dunk in lava. He of all people should know to finish the job.

The irony is this strip cared more for canon than Disney has in over a decade...

Shouldn't his lightsaber be green then?

Vader has too much of the Bruce Wayne mentality where he doesn't kill any of his nemesis instead throwing them into the revolving door joke of a prison system known as Arkham Asylum where they can just Shawshank their way out only for the cycle to continue on and on because Batman is too much of a fucking pussy to just end them right there because "I be no better than the dude that killed my parents, muh morals!"

Also Anakin's lightsaber was blue prior to AOTC he got his green one later on in the movie after it got sliced in the droid factory on Geonosis.

The only parts of AOTC I've really focused on where after that scene. The attack of the clones, the Jedi, Dooku.

So, Vader can just use the Force to stop huge transports and rip their hulls apart? Well, then, why didn't do the same thing to the Tantive IV at the end of Rogue One and stop the Rebels forever? This is video-game-tier fanfiction at this point.

I agree with the others, all they had to do was have Obi-Wan hang out in the desert, learn how to be a Force Ghost, and kick the shit out of the Sand People occasionally to keep his Jedi skills sharp.

The story is so simple:

You just have some thugs or space pirates terrorizing the local farmers. The Lars are one of the ones threatened.

So Obi-Wan has to "take care" of the problem without ever igniting his lightsaber or being too obvious about the Force. 6 episodes of him infiltrating and screwing with the criminals until they finally get the message: Don't come to tatooine.

Nevermind how Qui-Gon Jinn didn’t survive getting stabbed in the stomach by Darth Maul.
