I don't know how it is in Europe but in America I've seen it become a butting of heads in terms of the patriarch. Son leaves, starts family, wants to do the right thing bringing elder parents back in, but old man wants to remain top dog.

Moving out and owning your own home ("the American dream") has been Banker propaganda to sell mortgages since at least the end of WWII. It has since evolved into simply "moving out on your own" so that (now corporate) land lords can get in on the action with ridiculous rent prices.

The American public has literally been brainwashed into thinking that if you don't abandon your family and throw all your money away, you're the worst kind of loser there is.

The government has been taking an effective ~13% cut of American salaries to pay the elderly for a long time. All that happened was that the financial link went from children -> parents to children -> government -> parents. Before Social Security there was a much stronger intergenerational link, because if children didn't care for parents, nobody did. What Social Security really did wasn't so much as provide for the elderly as it did free up children to move into cities and participate in the burgeoning industrial economy.

My god… nature itself turning against Biden makes perfect sense when you realize two things. One, that Biden is a China shill, and two, he isn’t legitimate. The latter combined with the former means that Biden doesn’t have the Mandate of Heaven, and as such all of these catastrophes are occurring until a rightful ruler is once again in charge.

That, or God has had enough of him claiming to be Catholic, but I think Biden’s allegiance to China coming around to bite him is the funniest option.

Really? I don't think he's loyal to China at all. Biden doesn't know that his Depends need changing, for Pete's sake.

Politics and loyalty are simple. Is Biden corrupt? You betcha. But there's competition between the US as it exists and China (oil, other finite resources). There isn't in Big Tech though, and true, Big Tech favors the Dems. I ask, "so?" China's nothing more than where the manual labor takes place. There isn't even a need to compete here. Some of us remember the Cold War. China can exist in their bubble and so can the US. Big Tech will fall eventually. So will the US and China will get a new dynasty. Hopefully with a proper Emperor and not this commie shit, though they've done pretty well since Deng Xiaoping.

A high heat wave and high humidity period just hit central Kansas, with weather warnings and advisories.

The cattle are NOT free range that are dying. They're the ones at feedlots.

2,000 head died at a feedlot somewhere between Dodge and Garden City. After a very cool May, it got stupid humid with no wind overnight. I've been told around 10,000 head total dead in Kansas this week, mostly in feedlots.
