The mystery is less why Wikipedia holds their position, it's been the same for decades, and more why USA Today, a decades-running news syndication, has little to no fact-checking of its website employees. They just recently landed in hot water after one of their web reporters got caught just making shit up for content. Web reporting gets sloppier and sloppier every year.
If someone wanted to go cow-tipping it'd be far more productive to email or mail USA Today a correction request and then force Wikipedia to update the page after you already secured the quiet retraction and apology. Not arguing with some sperg godmod in the talk page while you're logged out. Due to how the verifiability policy works, they would be forced to muddy up the "consensus" with the new information - USA Today is the only publication that claimed to have a source other than Twitter through the brief mentions of interviewing with Beckett.

Seems like BIlorv doesn't take too kindly to people questioning his authority, so discussions are now off the table. Byuu is officially dead everyone, the Fuhrer of Wikipedia said so.
Wouldn't original research be "I actually saw Byuu yesterday and he was laughing his ass off on how he successfully trolled the retro gaming community. Then we had some nerdy talk and got drunk off some Russian vodka, after which we figured we would make a SNES PPU clone that outputs SECAM video."?
Here's one interesting part tho. I personally contributed to the page about TV DXing via F2 propagation, and my source was some YouTube video where you didn't have the DXer in person saying that he received that. And it was accepted as a source. By the byuu standards it should also be original research.

I love how this is objectively good news that Byuu is still alive, but Kotaku has yet to publish a story about it.
Unfortunately, Kotaku doesn't do "original research" either. Wait for a gaming-related blue checkmark to tweet about it and some Kotaku "reporter" will shit out four articles without thinking about the consequences.

Well this sure is becoming something. Honestly I don't really expect anything big to come out of this in the end, as much as I'd love to see the ultimate legal battle between Hector and Null. It's still nice to see the twitter troons turning against Hector.

Also Byuu if you're reading this, your emulator still sucks and will never beat Snes9x.

I mean, they probably don't care about individual troon drama, but feds didn't just stop routinely infiltrating editorial positions after everyone found out they'd been doing it for decades. If you can remember that (and it does seem like everyone got retarded and forgot at some point) the great retardity of wikipedia source loops makes a lot more sense as an intentional propaganda mechanism.

Trannies are really a gift that keeps on giving for those guys. You don't even have to appear to make believable decisions or not look retarded.

Yep. And the really amusing thing, in this instance, is that these Wikitranos will treat 'some rando on Twitter', 'angry gay dude with a Tumblr blog', and 'trashy celebrity gossip rag' as notable, reliable sources, but NOT the US State Department.

The official, consensus view of the US federal government - roughly 2 million people - is that Byuu is not dead. But of course, THAT doesn't matter, either, since the 'consensus' view of Byuu's article editors and their half-dozen fakenews friends is that Byuu is definitely dead even if he isn't.

And then of course there's the NPOV issue, not to mention potential conflicts of interests (should a murderous, mentally-deranged troon be editing articles on a suicidal, mentally-deranged troon?) , but alas all of those are just guidelines, and are free to ignore if you have admin privileges and several thousand hours to spend deleting truthful edits and perfectly justified reverts.

I take solace in the fact that, once I have gathered enough edits and hours to acquire super-admin status, I will lock all the trannies out of their own articles PERMANENTLY, and replace them all with swastikas, Bible quotes, and an endlessly looping gif of that one Brazilian troon getting kicked in the head. SHHHH don't tell the trannies, I don't want them shutting down my account (not revealing my name, but FYI it has a girl name, pronouns, and mentions anime and/or Gamergate in the bio)

Ya it's dumb, and the sillier the cognitive dissonance the better. The trick and why they'll never give an idiotic inch is that if they've trained wikipedians to fight to the death for goofy shit in the face of reality they won't blink at any regular political stuff that actually matters.

(not revealing my name, but FYI it has a girl name, pronouns, and mentions anime and/or Gamergate in the bio)
A beautiful dream but they'll call you a terf and depriv you in ten minutes, those bases are covered. I've seen it happen to a mod team one by one back in the wokepocalypse before they got me. Doesn't matter what your actual actions are once they have a couple guys in, and Wikipedia of all places would have been bodysnatched long ago of anyone who isn't a useful moron.
Sorry to wet blanket, I'll get back to you when I think of a comedy master plan.

So if Null does manage to serve byuu/near and files suit, would we see a thread about it after the dust settled?
I don't really think Byuu is quite as liable as USA Today is imo. Byuu could always argue that he didn't think his little stunt would cause all of this. USA today just flat out lied and said they'd independently verified Byuu's death, which was what led to the attacks on the site.

I don't understand why Null cares though? This website is known for screaming nigger and bullying retarded people to suicide [At least that's the image we've built up even if it's not true or really like that]. Why doesn't he just embrace the infamy? He already left the country long ago what more does he have to lose? If anything he should thank that article for bringing him millions of viewers and making him a supervillain to retarded soccer moms.

The Ddos attacks shouldn't even offend him, it means he's doing such a good job at making tranny's mad at him they have to resort to spending thousands of dollars and hours attempting to hack the website. That's hilarious and should be worn as a badge of honor.
