I have an approach that borrows heavily from the works of psychotherapists Carl Rogers, Irvin Yalom, Alice Miller, John Bradshaw, and Daniel Mackler. I also employ some meditation and self-dialoguing techniques from Internal Family Systems psychotherapy, an approach I have 4 years experience with. The basic theory with IFS is that there are different introjects inside of us, people we have internalized from our history, as well as parts of us that are uniquely our own. The method is about discovering these parts and working toward reconnecting them with our core, Self. I have also entered into therapy voluntarily with a few different therapists since I was 15, totalling about four years of consistent -weekly- work. Now I am mostly my own therapist.
