Same, I used to be somewhat in the Doom community, or at least I used to play a lot of custom WADS. But I never realized how chaotic it was on the inside. I guess it's the same with every community, they all have bad sides to them. Hell look at the emulation community. When you don't pay attention to it and just emulate games, everything about it seems fine. But as you delve deeper into it's community, you'll realize how a lot more hellish it is.

I played a lot of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 in my mid-teens, and sort of noticed the same thing about Jazz2online. Had a pretty decent level-building and competition community, but then there were the weirdos that would show up and cause trouble. There was just enough chaos and conflict going on that made me keep my distance.

If the forum was used for its true subject, then the community thrives. It is when the forum users start treating it like a personal website and creating "spaces" for themselves is when the trouble starts.

Just out of curiousity, for the people who were banned from doomworld, what happend? I know something about @40oz getting banned for not banning someone on doomer boards, which is... weird/

An interesting thread I skimmed over, and in a nutshell the whole thread that was intended for everyone to vent out why they got banned devolved into discussion about troons and why they shouldn't be supported, and why they should be. The latter camp just started to grasp at straws and it was a wreck in the end. 40oz was even told that he's starting to sound like Major Arlene, lol.

Switch to Crispy Doom or Eternity Engine or something. GZDoom might as well be called TrannyDoom by now. The entire Classic Doom community is fags, trannies and other assorted severely retarded and sick people. I've lost all hope.

Under any circumstance, do not start making your own Doom mod, you'll troon out if you do. I'm pretty sure all of these Doom modders are just so fucking gross that no woman would ever want to touch them so they turn into "women" themselves and cyberfuck each other.
