Hey, i like that we share the same dislike to anything vshojo related, but for the love of fuck can we avoid sperging every single time Mori calls anyone for her bday? we know exactly what happens next: pages of people crying "doomposting!!!" and still discussing the Zen call. Basically Calli is fucked regardless. She's not on tour so she has no excuse not to call, so if she doesn't call in it confirms she doesn't give a fuck; but if she does call in it's just going to come across as favoritism shown to the biggest of Myth while half assing Ame twice in a row and Ina not even bothering to try a little. Either way /vt/ will sperg.

I can't speak for him personally, but usually, liking a VTuber is a combination of the avatar and the person behind it, mostly the latter. Usually a VTuber's following will remain even if their avatar changes (e.g kson, Yuni Luna) but ultimately the avatar is important, as it's what makes them a VTuber in the first place.
In this specific case, Gawr Gura is quite popular because her voice matches the character quite well, and her brand of humor is popular I guess. If you've heard of Senzawa, that's her.
