Uhhh, that is just so grotesque. Jazz, a completely infertile and artificial construction, identifies himself as "the earth mother, her gentle femininity so divine and necessary for the growth of humanity."

It's actually kind of fitting that what makes Jazz feel "deeply connected and one with nature" is plastic junk that he puts on his own head.

I feel like Sander would somehow try to make being a serial killer be about “allyship.” Finding the perfect female body to transplant Jazz’s brain into? Hunting TERFs as the Son of Butler?

Probably the other way around.
Jazz, still feeling like an incomplete woman, Sander goes on a killing spree, ripping out uteruses our of his murder victims to cure Jazz of his leftover dysphoria.

"You have MORE uteruses than any woman ever Jazz!", Sander exclaimed as he shows Jazz the bucket of female organs. "Anyone that says otherwise is.... transphobic".
The Silence of the Lambs sequel we didn't know we needed.
The final uterus to collect will be Ari's.
Ari shoots him after training under Clarice Starling.

I wonder if the family knows that the reality will hit him like a bag of dicksonce he's in Harvard, and sees all the other students are fucking around like rabbits and he can't.
The first time he went to Harvard (before COVID), there was strong evidence that he had a suicide attempt. This was in like 2019 iirc. He withdrew from classes and was not seen on TV or social media for a while. When he reappeared, he had gained weight and was tired all the time. Harvard made him do a bunch of shit to show that he was ready to come back. It’s well known that he’s on psych meds and probably not just a low dose of one of the milder ones. Jeanette said he had a “team” of 8 doctors. Why else could he have dropped out from Harvard? Probably wasn’t partying too hard lol.

I don't remember what's the thread consensus about the chance of a suicide scare. I mean, we've discussed so many things that I can't even remember what my own position about it was, lol.

It is indeed quite possible that Jazz tried to kill himself. It's private enough to not make it national news and it's big enough for Harvard to ask for evidence that it won't happen again (they don't want a famous troon dead in campus and I totally understand them.) A big and intense mental breakdown (no suicide included) is very likely as well.

But then, the behavior of the family about it it's very odd. They act like everything wrong with Jazz is his weight, that was the motif of the season. Either they are trying to deflect to that or they're in absolute denial, but that's odd considering that even these stupid fuckers are smart to know that they shouldn't bully their little brother who tried to kill himself about his weight... unless they think these two are related. "Hey, if we force Jazz to be skinny, he won't try to die again!" The other chance is that he had a heart attack (or something similar) due to his weight.

Jazz seems so unhappy. I feel like half of this show is just uncomfortable shots of people anxiously looking back and forth at each other, wondering if they’ve said the ‘correct’ thing during every stilted conversation. I think the way this family operates, anyone would wanna brain slushie .

That poem is a glaring example of how Jazz has never been allowed to genuinely express herself, never. She always has this startled, trapped (heh) look on her face. It also shows she prob has some innate desire to experience meaningful things or explore nature, something outside her alarmingly shallow existence. (Whether or not she’s got the capability of getting out from her mothers death grip to actually do anything is debatable..)

I think the family is focusing on her weight partly because the mother knows it makes Jazz really uncomfortable (while still forcing her to be the center of attention), and because obviously the suicide story would just be too bad for PR. They don’t seem to think having an eating disorder reflects the same way, and they all kind of make it out like “jazz just eats too much!” when it’s clearly more than that. She looks like she feels like shit all the time, moves like an old person.

These kid threads are always brain-meltingly sad. I know technically Jazz is over 18, but this still looks like an extended, lengthy documentation of child abuse.

"Shallow" is in fact the word that I first think of whenever I see anything related to Jazz. Whenever he acts like a girl, he acts like a real basic bitch, a caricature of the worse of airheads. And Ari isn't like this. She has depth, a real life with a career and a relationship, so you can't completely blame her family. Like someone said, he wasn't raised like a girl; he was raised as "trans".

Sorry, you make excellent points, it's just jarring the use of 'she'. Isnt calling jazz 'she' the whole reason why they're mentally ill? I don't mean to undermine your take, it just.. yeah. I don't know if calling jazz 'she' is part of the crap that got Jaron og into this.

..wow, jazz has actually been robbed of all qualities beyond trans kid. They're famous for not any independent decisions, but about an operation and medical procedures, tv cams, someone else lined up. No wonder jazz acts 12 still.

Eta: it is weird how it feels as sad as discussing kids drawn into this, yet jazz is over 18. At HARVARD. an adult, a success. Right?

I found this first on Ari's page, of all places:

Jazz only posted a "Happy Father's Day" thing, but Sander is... uh...

You see the same thing so badly in FTMs. They act like the most generic dudes being bros.

I doubt anything physical happened. I think it’s more likely jazz had a mental breakdown. He went from being extremely sheltered to being free. That’s a lot for any young adult and it has to especially be a lot for someone who’s been as controlled as much as jazz has been. I imagine the weight was just another control factor for the family. They’re all VERY obsessed with appearances

He’s so gay. When will he admit it

Damn, is Jazz still gtowing taller? He's way taller than Ari and Griffen, and as tall as Greg. He seems to be getting taller and taller. Is it a castrati thing or what? Has he always been this tall?

We’ve seen from others in the past that hormone blockers don’t really “take” long term, and you can still go through puberty (especially as males go through it later than females on average) up to 22 or even 25. Jaron has plenty of time to become a big boy now!

They put kids on Lupron to make them grow taller, so this is probably the same phenomenon.

"The Incredible Expanding (versus Shrinking) Man"

I remember Jazz's adult height was one of the considerations when they were trying to decide when to start Jazz on estrogen.
