In retrospect, this was such a fucking obvious attempt at trying to get their attention to hopefully do a crossover special with AVGN and the Nostalgia Critic.

He’s not even original, Doug Walker started referencing James Rolfe in his videos to try to gather some attention from AVGN subscribers, the difference being that Doug’s attempt actually worked.

Anonymouse leaked mod shit which was great but this is true. A lot of detractors tend to be people who like Phil's attitude and then grow up and have had enough of his shit. Bear in mind he's been doing content for like 15 years. People who were fans of him tend to grow up while he stays the same, so that even entering young adulthood you outgrow him; look at Leanna. The hospital thing was probably the last straw and was the easiest out for her but chances are she had outgrown him after only a few years of being with him. The ultimate jilted fan, however, is Tevin...and he freely admits it. Then there are people like me who hated him the second they heard of him and found this forum to be the best place to talk about him.

I was NEVER a fan of Phil. A buddy of mine in college was a HUGE fan of his in late 2010-2011, but I avoided him like the plague. I never found him charming or entertaining; my college buddy used to laugh his ass off during Friends Request Ridicule, and my thought was "Why is this guy acting like a dick to these kids?" As I got deeper into my academic career and hid in my parent's basement, I forgot about him until ItsAGundam kept mentioning him back in 2018. Figured "Why does that name sound so familiar? Isn't that the idiot that was deep into the vinegar strokes on stream?" After that, discovered the 'farms, and back down the rabbit hole I went.

putting this here for record sake but Mango Juul Pods Baxter superchatted dsp to ask phil if he can change games because he was dying alot (maybe as a joke who cares).
Phil instead of just ignoring him decides to shout at him to shut the fuck up.
Mango Juul Pods Baxter responds by saying "bro wtf" and proceeds to say that he'll "remove his card from his account" promising to never superchat dsp again.

My personal hypothesis: because him losing the CTKhando was the final piece of his old life in CT. Phil HATED CT, for some unknown reason, and he even mentioned about always wanting to move out of there, but because his parents were "fucking stupid.", they stayed in that ghetto. I think he wanted OUT of CT was because of this: Phil HATES who he is as a person and he hates his parents.

Phil is the master of projection, we all know that. In essence, Phil hates that he's socially awkward, he hates that he can never live the life he's always wanted as a kid, even though I'm willing to bet everything on a WWE Champions pull, he hated his home life growing up. He hated that he could never be the popular kid in school, he hated the fact that he could never get the hot girl, even though he told the story of bagging that hot Puerto Rican girl (I believe that story like I believe he doesn't spend $400 at the liquor store, which we all know he does), he hates the fact that he's boring, etc...However, in his mind, he thought that escaping CT would bring him happiness and the change he was seeking. However, what Phil FAILED to realize was this: "No matter where you go, there you are." You can escape a city, a state, or a country you hate, but if you're not happy with who you are a person, you're only are going to continue to bring that unhappiness with you.

My mentally ill thought is this: Phil hated CT because he hated his home life, he hated his parents - not just for the Wolverine toy - and he hated the fact that he was constantly bullied all throughout school, etc...and him surmising that a change of scenery would make his life better. However, not the case; Phil was NEVER happy with himself and just because you escape a shitty home life and everything else, it doesn't mean that you're not going to take that shit with you. Like I said, "No matter where you go, there you are." So, Philliam, did I hit a triggering moment for you? Take another sip of gin...you sleazy asshole ;)

The forced "AHAAAH" reactions are such a Joker (2019)-irl moment, that Phil has no other idea how to react but knows it's sort funny so he has to laugh but he can only laugh in the weird high-pitched 'normal' laugh. He does it a lot with stuff that he knows is sort of funny but because he's such a shut-in, has no idea how to react normally other than guffawing as loudly as he can so that everyone knows he's in on the joke and not an idiot.
