Anisa, Idubbbz, Ethan, Hasan, etc. are talking about all of this like, wow look at how the career has evolved, and its improvement, leaving the past in the past.
But i ask, what is the career now?
Modern Idubbbz videos in the last year:
- Not wearing masks is cringe.
- Vaccine incentives aren't good enough/not knowing what coercion is in the context of propaganda.
- Complaining about the designs on customizable t-shirts and car stickers.
- Watching people steal shit on surveillance cams, and reading local facebook pages like petty crime is hilarious, and not an issue for people.
- Talking about shitcoins related to logan paul.
- Sam Hyde Documentary that probably wasn't going to air.

What so you either become Ethan Klein or Keemstar? Those are the only options that Idubbbz had? What the fuck happened? I used to watch this guy's videos, now it's like I'm watching this person become completely unlikable, and act like everyone he doesn't like is an asshole. Why would I give a fuck about these 14 minute rants about meaningless bullshit. Isn't this what AVGN did with his "You know what's bullshit?" or fucking this....
This is what Idubbbz does in between Louis Theroux style "documentaries" about youtube side characters.
What the fuck was the point of sinking a year into boxing?
Oh was it to get money like those other big youtubers?
Is this all a fucking slow selling out, with no passion left for creativity or artistry? Thats what the quality and nature of the content tells me. Good luck with that.
For the record, I find it complete bullshit that Ian and Ethan are acting like Sam Hyde wasn't a big influence, that there isn't common comedic influence in their collective inspirations, and/or there isn't some sort of parallel thinking. They all were doing reaction content to internet crap in 2014, the difference is literally in how willing they are to go against the grain, and thus say something thats actually disarming, or insightful. Sam and Ian both did Kickstarter based react content...They both like to dress up in occupational outfits to create characters, they both go to derelict locations/weird places to film, and they both like the uncomfortable comedic stuff that comes from candid trolling.
So what the fuck? The missing piece is literally Anisa or money. which to me might as well be the same thing. The banal normality of it all, is completely boring and discardable.
Bonus for me was hearing:
"I can't get him to eat breakfast"
I thought Anisa's background in kinesiology and stuff was all about telling Idub when to eat and stuff? He doesn't get up in the morning to eat breakfast? Is this since creator clash, or was that going on during creator clash training, Yoko?
