True hardcore gamer Phil always chooses the easiest option out when he's presented with even the smallest little bit of challenge in any game, but especially in older retro/legacy titles that don't really cater to the common day moron gamer, save states have saved this man from complete embarrassment and ridicule multiple times over, you could make a incredibly long list of games that he absolutely would have raged or waged quit if it didn't have the ability for him to save state.

Even the most determined dent will sometimes temporarily revert to normal after watching phail streams in the most casual of games and call him a boring tard.

His streams are better off "I don't like to say this but I nid da muhney from you gais talkhast." where dents are treated to a 6 hour tok show and they will still ask about 'when is Phil playing games', pay for gaem and get scolded because they are dumb tards.

Always feel bad for anybody who has a childhood game they love, and Phil ends up playing it.
He has a unique ability to absolutely ruin older games like nothing else. Watching him play Yoshi's Island was fucking crazy for me.

Takes me back to why I started laughing at him in the first place.

I will stream my "Jumping off the highest possible reach in Minecraft" check-out if he starts playing Destruction Derby 2.

But it's typical Phil. He'd rather run headlong into a wall repeatedly until it breaks than learn and adapt a strategy. The fucker couldn't even get the timing right for exploiting the Holy Water mechanic during the final boss fight, and it's not that hard. He'd just rather have a war of attrition with savescumming. And for someone who claims to have played the game before, he sure as hell wasn't trying to get the multipliers from candles.

He absolutely didn't know anything about why the double and triple multipliers were important, or how to even get them quickly, by using items on candles like you said. He was hoarding hearts most of the time, and practically tried to turn the game into a 100% run where he NEEDED to whip every candle. When he put a save state down on the Death fight, there was a candle at the top right that he hadn't gotten yet and he ended up having to jump up to whip it EVERY SINGLE TIME. Even though it only has a small heart which he absolutely did not need as he died over and over. He could have skipped it every time, or remade the save state after he whipped this inconsequential candle, but no.

I looked at what PS1 games can be played with PS Plus and Intelligent Qube is one of them. Do you think he'll give it a try in the future or just skip it entirely since it's puzzle game?

"Project 2319" is (was?) apparently an attempted fan remake of the Monsters Inc. game where they wanted to restore all of the cut content that was left out of the shipped game. When I looked it up, there were supposed to be 30+ levels, but the game only had 13. The website for the fan game no longer exists, so I guess it died?
