Containment What will happen when Barb dies?

Oh, and the funeral home will try to sell them on unnecessary extras, such as embalming Barb before cremating her (for reasons).
That definitely, or other stuff. I've rarely seen outright fraud. Much more common is stuff like selling "perpetual care" and then the place looks like a dump.

It's hard to prove fraud against the "Oh I guess we must have forgot" defense. In the very few cases where they get caught, they cut a refund check and continue on. If they get in serious trouble they reorganize as a new company, maybe throw a few employees under the bus, and then continue on.

That said, google "funeral home fraud" for some of the most egregious examples of the ones who were busted. There are some real horror shows (ahem David Sconce).

I can think of much worse, like the funeral home that didn't even bother burying anyone and had corpses lying around all over the place. That said google ANY industry and fraud and you'll find it. I don't see funeral homes as much worse than used car dealers or insurance agents. Or lawyers for that matter.

Not funeral home. Funeral homes. A lot of them have done that: taken the money and then simply not done their jobs. There was one in Detroit that was caught with a stack of baby corpses piled up in the ceiling of the funeral home itself. I would not have thought acoustic tile ceilings could support that much weight.

OK, I'll play.

They wasted all that edible protein? =(

There's not a lot of meat on a baby. They're mostly fat and gristle.

You have to keep them locked up in a tiny pen and force feed them to make veal.

But seriously, it really says something that a funeral home would try to save a few bucks on baby interments. It's not like there's much digging needed. And they use almost no fuel for cremation.

My best guess is he may try to live on his own. Which given his track record likely won't be successful.

Since he's rarely quiet in his self inflicted misery it will likely get APS/Social Services involved.

Given his history and diagnoses he may qualify to go to a group home or assisted living. But both of those have requirements for behavior....which again given his history he could very likely blow even a decent placement.

To my knowledge people in group homes or ALFs that blow placements usually get hospitalized for psych and then shuffled on to another facility.

Honestly if he's properly medicated/getting treatment and compliant with his behavior a placement in an ALF or Group Home could be his last shot.

I guess with the latest reveal that Barb is no longer at 14 BC, she's effectively gone. So, is whomever in charge of the property going to allow Chris to stay there? Maybe just temporarily until something tard-appropriate can be found for him or until the place is cleaned and sold?

I don't know. Barb being cared for outside of the house wasn't ever an equation I made thunks of.

No chance. Chris will make a total shitpile of the place, rendering it unshowable by a real estate agent. Getting him evicted would take a long time with the courts backlogged and the value of the house dropping by the week.

Chris won't live with slow-in-da-minds and will pitch a fit if that's asked. Going back to 14BLC gets him a trespass charge, and hopefully zapped to the extreme with a Tazer.

His only housing options at this point are a gimp suit in a ween's basement or the streets.

When Barb actually dies Chris will shit himself and do nothing, as its almost certain at this point that Barb is already out of his life now. There is no way she is coming back

How much extra do you think they’d charge to throw the sped on the barbecue with her?

They'd need another spot on the columbarium that Bob and Barb are already on. I'd make a wild guess it's filled up by now.

Taking Typical Detroit Behavior as reflective of an entire industry is pretty bullshit.

I think it was actually one of the gentrified Detroit suburbs like Grosse Pointe or Beverly Hills, but who the fuck outside of Michigan would know where that is? Everyone has heard of Detroit.

the real thing Chris will do is fuck his mom and then do nothing.

But Chris didn't do nothing.

Chris fucked his mom and then blabbed about it to the internet.

Crematoria charge by fuel use. It will take a lot more gas to render down Chunky Chandler than Barb.

Just put a plaque on the ash tray in the lobby and toss him in.

That said, I've always had the thought that we should all pitch in to pay for Chris' funeral. That way we get to choose what goes on the headstone.
