I wish he'd get the chance, but even today's ruling doesn't make it seem more likely. Dobbs doesn't overturn decades of federal regulation, it removes a court-imposed restriction on the states and lets them write their own laws. Alito and company don't seem willing to go as far as what Thomas outlines in his concurrence, which contains the bit all of Twitter is freaking out about (going after Lawrence and similar cases).

Not to sperg out about the minutiae of Constitutional Law, but I really hope he's able to convince the court to push back against Wickard. "Interstate commerce" is defined so fucking broadly that Congress can legislate almost everything under the Commerce Clause. It's almost at the point where the limitation is meaningless, and Congress can legislate anything as long as they write that it affects "interstate commerce" despite having fuck all to do with interstate commerce.

Let's look at say 1960 and what they tolerated that could also be considered immoral, strip clubs and nude photography, I'm not necessarily advocating banning stuff like that, but notice what those two things have in common? Those things can still promote heterosexuality, a guy looking at some T&A might want to go home and fuck his wife which might lead to a baby he couldn't abort.

Hell even the 1800s had burlesque shows, my point is maybe we don't have to dial America all the way back to the 1600s, but a of the changes the 20th century enacted have had negative consequences and need to be changed back.

Porn itself, of any kind, should be banned IMO, not just because it's immoral (it is) but because regardless of your moral or religious views, it's literal poison to the brain and prolonged usage over the course of many years has been shown very plainly to lead to the atrophy and decay of brain matter in a physical pattern that's almost identical to hard drug addicts. It has absolutely no benefits at all for anyone.

I said "if"; in other words, how I feel or what I'd do is irrelevant. It's largely a matter of principle and truth rather than something I'm emotionally invested in.

You shouldn't be allowed to end a human life just because it's convenient, that's really it.

I’m not anti-abortion (I think it’s morally wrong, but having been involved in child services, I think the damage that shitty people who shouldn’t have a kid having a kid does is worse). But the left deserves this. Play stupider and stupider games for a decade, win stupid prizes.

Not that it’s going to actually make them self-reflect and roll back on the hysterics, but you can dream.
