I wasn't in foster care lol I'm pretty well adjusted tyvm which is why I don't want women to die from preventable causes like septic pregnancies.
All you need is love, love, love
Love is all you need

Also meds so you can stop being so incoherent

You're 100% right, but American protests can't be serious. If an American was serious about enacting change through street violence, he grabs a gun, not a placard. And then things get messy.

Non-violent protests are the fashionable approach ever since the last time liberalism got a real win, the Civil Rights protests of the 1960s. Everything since then has been futile violence (1970s Days of Rage, LA riots, George Floyd chimpouts) or win-by-fiat in the courts (Roe itself, gay marriage, upholding Obamacare, etc).

The political right has this as an even bigger problem, because they have all the guns and the revolutionary rhetoric as their baseline. If they actually put those into action, there's more serious problems than whatever they're angry about at the moment.

Leftist protests can get a bit violent as long as the police are afraid of looking like the Bad Guys, but lefties also know the police will shoot them quicker than the rednecks if they tried to bring real weapons. The last time there were coordinated riots and movement, a 17 yr old kid in Kenosha shot a couple of felons and child molesters, sending the left crying back to their holes.

Non-American protests can only get that serious because you don't have the same immediate threat of stopping them, hard, like we do in America.
It doesn’t even have to be full French or Bolshevik revolution. In Chile they chimped out over a 4 cent metro increase, and were successful without turning the country into several different factions with cannibal war lords. Some were arrested, injured and even died, but their methods were limited to fare evasion, looting, and constant disobedience.

That is why I think things like occupy Wall Street failed. Americans don’t seem to commit long enough to show they're in it for real, and that the demands are to be respected. Life is so comfortable in the US that no one wants to have the discipline and passion to show their power and influence.

It is also sad that Americans are afraid to really act passionately, out of total fear that the crack down will be hard, like you said. Not even something like a tax boycott can be effective because the US federal government gives China a run for their money when they really use their full might.

Who cares? Just ship them off to the abusive, overpopulated, and underfunded foster care program, in true pro-life style!
They'll probably run out of foster homes eventually, so I could see my state just dumping the kids out on the streets to their fates like they do when they turn 18 anyway.

Much more mundane salt, but the graduate student union at my university sent this email late in the afternoon (3 hours after the event started -- school administration has the competence of a sloth with AIDS). Info redacted to not PL:

View attachment 3423850

Main highlights:
1) My uni is in CA, which is not affected by this decision (unless CA decides to pay women birthers to come here and get abortions with our tax money, which is a whole other issue), so this pointless. Nothing is being provided at all (no bathrooms, bring your own stuff "as you need"), so this whole "event" is a useless performance.
2) "Bring your children" in the 2nd bullet point...
3) Organizer has pronouns (lol) and is a "Campus Climate Director"? I guess abortions in places far away reduce greenhouse gasses and allow you to buy a 3rd Tesla.
4) Are we as a society becoming so weak we need events like these openly advertised? I swear, if Pearl Harbor/WW2 were to happen today, I feel like society would collapse into nothing.

Counting down the days until I get my degree and can GTFO...
>Bring your children

Is that where all the conservative incest i've been hearing about is going to happen?

Will the strange new respect dry out?

That's nice, Liz.

Still isn't going to save your ass in the primary.

>Bring your children
Motherfuckers about to Aztec sacrifice children as late term abortions to appease Moloch

TL;DR: The people pissed at this aren't pissed because contraceptives don't work (they do, find me a kid who survived birth control+condom) or because they care about "women's rights" (they don't, see trannies), but because this is a hard stop for many when it comes to living somewhere that hasn't been rotted from the inside due to shitty political ideas that they refuse to learn the lesson from the hard way. The only way they'll learn it.

To everyone pissed off at this, consequence-free sex is not and never will be a human right, stay mad.
What's stopping them from leaving the state, getting an abortion and then coming back? What's stopping them from voting for a pro-abortion politician? What's stopping them from lobbying for abortion? They don't seem very determined if all it takes to repel them is defederalizing abortion.

That's how conservative religious types tend to do things, yes
You can still abort a baby the old fashioned way, with some kinda herbal tea. Or go to another state that allows it. Or take the Covid Vax. Or not get pregnant.
You just can't, if in an anti-abortion state, go in for a drive thru abortion anymore. It's almost as if clumps of cells have consequences or something and it's a more serious thing to get rid of, than ordering a coffee from Starbucks.
Be responsible with your womb.
